Yeah, me too. No one seems to talk about it much, it always gets overlooked in favour of Sgt. Pepper and Revolver, but I love every song. Except Blue Jay Way. It's not a bad, song it just goes on a bit too long.

And did you know, officially, it's not classed as an album? It's a double EP. But to me, the tracklist reads like a Best Of.

I sorta get what you were going for. What I meant was that he was (in my opinion) the most talented, and the most versatile of the group. I also prefer his solo stuff over the rest of the group's.

The Beatles is the best rock band EVER.
    [

yeah i really like the beatles. been a fan for ages. i remember i went to liverpool and we went to all the places like abby road (they had to paint abby road on the wall becasue people kept stealing the sign) there not a rock band as we know today so its hard to say that but although i like them pink floyed would have to be the best rock band of all time. also just a quick not "the bealtes is the best rock band" doesn't even make sence! talk about bad grammer.
The Beatles isn't plural, the Beatles, is a union- it is a singular noun.

A quick note: Talk about bad spelling

Of course "The Beatles" is plural.

You say "The Beatles were/are the best band of all time", not "The Beatles was/is the best band of all time".

Anybody else really like the Anthology version of A Hard Day's Night?
Not sure whether I prefer it, but I really do like it.
More prominent Rickenbacker jangle, and I like the opening chord in this version.

I kind of agree, but John Lennon was the best songwriter of the bunch by a mile. I'm not a huge Paul fan but I think he had the most versatile voice of the bunch.

With that being said George Harrison is probably my favourite Beatle, but objectively I wouldn't say he was the most talented in the group.

I also think George had the best solo career.

Maybe I haven't listened to enough of Lennon's solo stuff, but much of it's very similar. It's just that there are a lot of songs like God, that he wrote, that people really seem to praise (derp pun), but I don't think work particularly well as songs - you don't really sing along to them.

Some of Paul's solo stuff is alright, but I can't say I'm a huge fan of Wings.

Also, George started The Traveling Wilburys - one of my favourite bands along with the Beatles, and a great supergroup.

    Gretsch represent.

I actually thought that the songs that Harrison wrote were a lot more unique than some of the Lennon/McCartney songs they made. For example, "Something" had an extremely unique chord progression, (C, Cmaj7, C7, F, D7, G). And "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" utilizes it's chromatic bass line so well.

They don't really have a CD because of copyright issues. But you can listen to a few songs on their site. If you ever get a chance to see them live you should, they're quite good (and I normally hate tribute bands).

Wow, he really sounded like Paul at the beginning of Hello Goodbye. People who haven't listened to The Beatles all their life would easily be confused.

They're great, they're the closest to The actual Beatles that I've heard.

    I want to get this:

The guy who plays Ted (the lawyer) on Scrubs also has a Beatles tribute band, and they did a similar thing:

Can anyone explain why the song "Good Night" sounds so familiar to me? I feel like I've heard it somewhere in a movie or something.
