STEP 3

I meant the argument. :colbert:
STEP...3... ok thats something i dont know
Step three is "cross my heart, hope to die, stick a needle in your eye"
i know what step 3 is, i meant that i dont know how the spartan guy argument started off
Oh, well he was being a dick about a porting thing he had or something, just go read page 10 i guess.
I know right? that guy seem to try to find any bull answer to everything :s
Wait what do you mean 20 or 30 years old?
Edited:
Bullshit drama from some kid, that like to show off models, and does nothing to help, until, he is being call out for being a elitist prick that he is. Just as he already have done, with Halo 3 once before. He was repeating again.
halo always cause some problems, depending on the situation, its a cool game, but its a friking conflict creator
Its funny because all the games are almost the same but with new maps.
57 New posts, there must be a shit tonne of progress.
Nope
Progress yes. Don't need to mention there been shit going, if you have nothing else to say.
then re-route the damn power?
someone came in and acted like a child, problem was resolved and we resumed work as usual,
also things that are annoying
1. hey guys stop the drama and work
answer... get out dont assume that people fighting is affecting work
2. wow 25 posts of drama..
answer... I think we can all see that ourselves
dont forget the JEEZUS THAT THING WAS ANGRY
Well, it's been about 5 pages since any good updates on the actual purpose of the thread. Any progress os far guys? :3
yes
Is it far way or close to possibly being released?
If I could figure out how the FUCK to extract geo files then I would gladly start porting some props, but I don't get this archive viewer program at all. I'm pretty sure I'm just not adept in some kind of field so I don't know what the fuck I'm doing with this program.
Sadly i couldn't find any props, just weapons. Props are on another archive.
I dont know why, but im starting to imagine how stross would look in the advanced rig, the perfect look for a crazy guy/supervillian in other cases
I'm gettin' in on this. Hope there's a texture converter done soon. Getting tired of sifting through 3D Ripper bullshit.

the unpacker for the models does not fully work, so noone can really finish these easily yet >.> also I hardly think there was enough time to at all finish these, give use around a month to ask that and not expect like I have stated a few times before, to be working on this every day
Just as an example...
Oh please, don't start this bullshit again.
I just don't get it, what the hell is your fuckin' problem with the 3DX Ripper?
Where the hell is the difference?
With the GEO script you have to search for the files in the archives and then put all the, maybe 20 or 30 GEO-files, together.
With the 3DX Ripper you just have to find and select the right mesh(es)
And how long do you wanna wait for working converter for the TG4D textures?
I have you know, i'm 60 :saddowns:
Holy shit, calm the fuck down. I'll do whatever the hell I want to do. My problem with the ripper, is that it's not giving me what I want. I have to peel off like 5 layers, and I still don't get any useful UV data. So I said fuck it, I'm going to get them out right proper. It turns out there's a lot of problems with the unofficial tools, but they're being worked on. They've only been written in the last few days.
I think you'll somehow survive a few days or, heaven forbid weeks. I guess you'll just have to get by the with 10,000 other ragdolls available.
Sorry, but you were not the only one who said he has problems with the 3DX Ripper.
I hate if people just say "bullshit" or "it does not work"
If you say 3DX Ripper is bullshit, I just wanna know, why?
Have you guys tried Texmod at all? That's a way better program to use to rip textures from games. I've had problems with textures coming out low res with 3D Ripper DX. Could be specific games but it's happened regardless.
Texmod may or may not work for DS2. I haven't tested it yet, but that would be the best way to rip any kind of textures from games.
Yeah, it works. I've already tested it
Holy mother i just sleeped for about five minutes and what just happened... oh, that problem again
son of a bitch.. why didnt I think of that all this time, well you still have to go through like 200 textures, but its a good way to find it for npcs
you mean that its gonna kind of...a little more fast development?
still have to wait for new str unpackers so no
fine, i can wait then :)
might wanna get a snack
Because it's not giving me proper UV data. I can't believe you're so passionate over something so relatively unimportant.
Maybe you can rip the model for me with proper UV data and collect all the textures and normalmaps for me? Thanks champ.
Problem is for whatever reason the ripper rips like 2 copies of everything, including the player character. If you import it with all those checks on it'll automatically erase the layer that has the proper UV data on it. Uncheck everything in the box and then import. It'll take a while for it to get it all loaded and some more time to sort through all the unwanted models. But it'll get you the model with the UV data.
I did do that, and I ended up with 4-5 copies of the player. I peeled them all apart, exported them all separately, but between all of them, two had messed up UV's and the rest has none at all. Believe me, I made an effort before digging up all the damn tools to extract this shit.
But, if you can/want to isolate the correct meshes and textures, I'll be happy to get crackin'.
True, you do have to search through tons of textures, but you get a preview of the texture selected, whereas with 3D Ripper DX, it rips all the textures in the scene you don't want to DDS format in a folder on your hard drive, meaning it takes up unnecessary space. On top of that, they're named by hex or whatever, thus you have to load them up in Photoshop or some other image program to see which texture is which. It takes like a million times longer to do this than it would to use Texmod.
Its not nesesary to open them with photoshop, i use a thing called VTFEdit or something like that to view textures
