Guys I am planning to upgrade my Acer Aspire X1700 desktop with a new graphic card which is the ATI Radeon HD4770 which i am planning to buy. However I am not sure how big the graphic card will be or whether it can fit inside on the motherboard in my computer casing or whether the casing is large enough

I just want to know, how big is the Radeon HD 4770 and how much interior space does my ACER X1700 have

Now I know Acer Aspire supports the PCI express cause I've just check it's spec. If any of you people have the same Aspire X1700, please let me know whether this PC is upgradable.

It won't fit. The case is low-profile, so you'd need a low-profile card. Which IIRC only get upto nVidia 7300 type levels.. which are no good at-all.

You would need a new, full case, transplant everything out before pretty much any card would fit.

So is there any other graphic card small but good enough to play L4D at full setting for my PC?

Then you buy a smaller bracket, unscrew the big on and then screw on the new one, simples

You will get a small bracket, aka "image 4".

But the thing is CAN this thing play L4D or Crysis at Full settings? I want to play games without lagging at full settings. I am getting sick and tired playing on low settings all the time

Crysis? Depending on your resolution. L4D? Yes.

X1800 does that. I'm upgrading from that to the same card as you though.

I'm thinking of resolution 1240 x 768. Does the Radeon™ X1800 can play Crysis at that resolution?

Or in another option, what casing is large enough for all my parts in the Acer X1700 and still fit the large HD4770?

Though this means I will have to rearrange everything
