Dude I still play Diablo like everyday

Nobody even plays barbarians anymore, it's just Sorceresses and druids and necromancers all over the place

    lame
And Paladins. Don't forget the Paladins.

Though personally I think that the reason that nobody plays barbarians is because they suck.

I don't do it just to do it; it actually bothers me.
If I don't like it, I'm going to express it just like anyone else.
They aren't just minute changes, either.

    This is Diablo 3:

This is my work in Photoshop on what Diablo 3 should look like:

What in the actual fuck, seriously stop posting shit with grain effects on it.

It's Blizzards game, every game Blizzard makes is successful, they KNOW what they are doing, so let them do their fucking job. If they want it to look like that then it's FINE. How about they just stop developing D3 because you won't stop whining about the art style? I seriously want to punch people like you in the face, Blizzard has done their research, and found out what was successful and useful in D2. I can hardly see shit in your filter raped image, it would kill your eyes to play on that for hours on end. If you want it to look like that, turn your monitor brightness down and tape sand to your screen.

    Edited:

Don't tell them what THEIR game should look like.

The grain effect is shitty, but Diablo in general is supposed to be very dark. That's what Diablo was known for, and you are obviously a WoW fan. It didn't kill eyes in D2, and the world of Sanctuary should look like it does in D2 if it wants to call itself a Diablo game. This will probably cause a mini-controversy because of WoW-kids thinking this game rips off of WoW, and flocking to it and flaming it when the whole thing is the other way around.

I actually like the Photshopped picture. It reminds me of the olden days of Diablo quite a bit more than the new one.

I'll probably still play it regardless.

It isn't just simple grain effects, my good sir.

It is Blizzard's game, and they are successful today because of simpleminded fucks like you. They base their research off today's top gaming community, the players who want simplified shit because they don't care about story or complexity. I hope they do stop developing Diablo 3 and give the license to the original developers; Flagship Studios. They would make the game kick ass. If you have actually played the first two games, you would know it is hard to see shit in Diablo 1 and 2's dungeons as well.

They really couldn't complain about it being a ripoff since it is developed by the same company. That is why WoW is written all over Diablo 3.

    I've already seen it.
A lot of the spells have cool down. That is bullshit. Diablo 2 was known for its intense speed.
Also, I can't make my wizard the way I want because of automatic stat addition.

That wasn't the point, I was making a point about the bawwing of it being too bright, which is clearly isn't in that trailer.

Cooldown sucks dick, and it would almost eliminate any chance of a paladin type to be there, since most of his attacks are meant to be spammed.

The story? I never said that they didn't care about the story. All we know as of now is that Diablo is trying to kick Sanctuary's ass again, and for some odd reason the Barbarian was the only one to remember.

Once again, way to miss the point I was trying to make with the video. It was about the brightness/darkness.

I completely agree with the cooldown and auto stat parts.

If you can see more than 10 feet away from your character, it is too bright for a dungeon.

Well, Diablo 2 actually starts off like Diablo 3, with the evil returning. It was still very demonic and dark.

Guys the damn problem is not the damn colour, it's the shapes that are cartoony and exxagerated giving it a "WoW" feel (not much, but still too much).
Also, the biggest issue is auto stat placement, I mean what the fuck are they thinking? I can survive the art style, but not that.

When mods come out, auto stat placement is the first thing that must go.

No it hasn't. The last cinematic of Diablo 2 is Baal invading Mt. Areat after he killed the Barbarian leader, so it could be anything but peaceful, and we should see Baal returning in Diablo 3. He was never killed, but the Worldstone was destroyed, and Mephisto will never return because his Soulstone was destroyed at Hell's Forge.

Baal will probably dominate Sanctuary and Diablo will be there, but not as important.

    Baal runs, anyone?

You don't know what makes a good RPG you daft twat, Diablo 2 can only loosely be refered to as an RPG. Both Diablo 2 and 3 are fast from the evidence we have seen, and I personally think Diablo 3 looks darker than Diablo 2 ever did. Yeah, darker. Diablo 2 had cooldowns as well

Diablo 2 only had cooldowns because the animation of the ability/spell that you're using had to finish.
