Thanks. Disaster got the idea after playing rats maps with us on goldsrc. I found one of the horrific BSPs he sent me of it recently (with a txt file saying what it was supposed to do), and for a laugh I decompiled it and put all the entities in. (and fixed all the textures and brushwork)

They were supposed to do a number of things like wander about, interact with each other and tap on the glass, but I wasn't sure how to do that and couldn't be bothered to learn at the time.
If someone could give me a good tutorial on scripted sequences, I'll make a v2.
The wiki explains pretty much how they work, but I'm not entirely sure how you'd do something like "grab two actors, make them talk then have a fight and have a third one run over and break them apart"
or if that's even possible.

I know about Floodmod and what-not, but if you have the gamemode on Sandbox for example, will the water still automatically rise or not?

I know about Floodmod and what-not, but if you have the gamemode on Sandbox for example, will the water still automatically rise or not?
to get the water to rise, you need to put "ent_fire water open" into console when cheats are on. You will start drowning as soon as the water is at the top. "ent_fire water close" will make the water sink to the floor again, but you won't stop drowning when in the water until the water is completely down, due to an oversight.

The thing I love most about this map is that you can no-clip out of the tank. Then you can look around in the darkness for the room and mess around in there. Once you go back to the fish tank its all changed on the outside...

I think you should make a copy of the room in the sky-box with a fish-tank in it, but smaller so that people can walk outside of the tank and look in and have a render-target camera on each side of the glass to send the image to each other. Then you can play as a big person looking in the tank, or a small person looking out. You could also put a door that teleports you into the tank. Do you get what I am saying?

If you noclip into the TV, you arrive in the room fast, rather than having to look for it.

I think I get what you're saying, but I'm not sure it'd work. Also you can only have one camera going at a time, unfortunately.

I've never tried it on a proper flood server, only in singleplayer on my deluge gamemode. Does it work properly?

The castle is blocky but that's ok it's still great, a different water texture would look good though, the gm_construct water would be PERFECT

Unfortunately, according to the Valve wiki, if you use any other seethru water texture on a func_water_analogue, everything underwater will fuck up. ):
Also it's quite hard to make a small castle smooth using only brushwork. If I knew how to model, then maybe I could make a far nicer one.
That said, I might learn to model as I just had an idea for a flood map set in a nuclear reactor, and hl2 doesn't have any nuclear props. :v

Use some from Counterstrike Source, it is pretty much a standard for GMOD anyways.
