Shocking, right?
A guy who plays TF2 going into TFC. Why, you may ask? Well, I'm going there to meet up with old friends. And I mean old friends, from like, 5 - 7 years ago.
So, anyway, I want to load up TFC.
So I download it.
Double-click "Team Fortress Classic".
Should be simple, right?
Well, it comes up with the black screen as normal procedure should do with all fullscreen games, but...wait, why did I go back to desktop?
*clicks TFC*
What the...
*click click click*

Any help here guys?

I have no idea, it's just TFC as far as I know.
The ONLY non-source game by valve I would play is TFC...possibly Half-Life if I where bored to the most extreme of levels.

:downsbravo: to the above, TFC and Half-Life 1 is free, why the fuck would I need to torrent a free full-length game and a free multiplayer game?

I wasn't hinting at warez, I was asking if YOU had used warez. Don't try and get me banned, you'll just end up embarassing yourself. Now where can I get free TFC + HL1, because those CRAZY folks at Valve tried to charge me for it.

If you had the original disk from years ago it probably would, but I dunno about online >_>

Try launching it with the -windowed parameter by right-clicking it and going to "properties/set launch options"
Also, if he got half-life in the original disk, he would have got TFC, DOD, CS, ricochet and expansions all included for free, which is not valid for standalone steam purchase.

It's the STEAM gods telling you not to start it up because it sucks and only those who play it are those who spent countless hours perfecting their skill in it and nostalgic people who are quickly disappointed when they return.

Really? That's strange, because i remember when it first came out TFC came with a HL1 patch for free.
I remember installing the patch and seeing the TF logo pop up and before i knew it i was hooked on the game :D.
Anyway, if you play TF2 a lot TFC won't be that awesome like you remembered playing. Also there are no 'the hunted' servers.
