Standard pay rules for those 12 hour plus days. I also would hate to pay by the hour because It would make me never help anyone because I would be a bitch about my hours but with monthly fees, I know where I stand and I can piss about as much as I want.

I played around a bit in the game, but it really was too repetitive once I got to level 12, and they have random restrictions on flying which really kills it for me.

For a game that heavily emphazise flight, the flight-system is really broken. 1 minute? the hell.

I might consider buying this depending on whether or not the quests had effort put into the stories, anyone who's playing, what's your opinion on them? and is it really feasible to quest to level and not grind? (Sick of grinding games).
Customization looks fun, I love personalizing my characters in any game.
But yeah, my main concern is whether or not the quests are generic and cliche and boring, or if they actually put some thought into it, because so far the game looks pretty generic.

I bought and downloaded from Steam. Checking my total data downloaded that session in the bandwidth monitor reported about 15gb.

Sounds like the leveling's pretty slow, many hours to level 10+? I might preorder this when I get some money tho.

Played on that private server, the game looks great, too bad the server is still under maintenance and you can't attack/interact with NPCs.

Well you actually need to preload the game to get a beta-key and I can't find any keys give away.

8 days until the next beta anyway, you've got plenty of time to find the money. Or you could just do what I did and pre-order the game on Play.com, you don't have to pay until release then.

Waiting for the GAME Collector's Edition to pop-up, then I'll probably get it. Might try a private server to get a feel for it though. That Avol server's launcher has a trojan in it, so meh.

Why do people hate Grinding so much? I find it quite fun.

If it's not too noticable then yeah, if you have friends to keep you company then yeah, but if it's painfully obvious that you need a billion XP to go, then no thanks.

If I pre-order on Steam, can I play the event through the client on steam or will I have to download it elsewhere?

The steam game client is usually identical to the actual game client so you probably can play the betas on the steam version though I don't know if steam will let you preload it.
