What Download do I need?
  • If you only want to update: Lua (Please only use this if you already have the models to save my traffic)

Note: The downloads are automatically generated out of the SVN everyday at 2h GMT.

Installation notes
  • Always delete the old "stargate" folder out of addons!
  • If you still have the folders stargate_old_beta or stargate_old_beta_resources in your addons, delete them.
  • Do not upload this to garrysmod.org - It's NOT finished. I do not want people to download 10 different version so they flame me with "It's not working" because they downloaded an old version you have uploaded
  • Report any bugs you find on http://bugs.daggeringcats.com




Description
This pack provides several utilities (such as the Stargates) from the TV Show "Stargate SG1" and "Stargate Atlantis" (tm & (c) MGM and it's affiliates).
It's a fan project and is available for free without any intention to make profit out of it.

The Stargates are intra- and intergalactic portals: You enter it on one planet and exit it on another with nearly no time delay you generally have while traveling to this destination using a "space drive".

It also provides a few weapons from the series (such as the staffweapon or Zat'nik'tels) and technical devices (shield/cloaking).
The pack is constantly getting enhanced and the latest version will always be available through SVN.

What is funny is how far over the limit the thread was.

The GCombat thread got closed, and it had about 30 pages.

We had over 265.


EDIT: but ASS and ULX aren't locked, and they had more posts than GCombat (which did get closed)

The other one might have needed a locking though with 10.000 posts in it.

Also, that one was like 70% general chat/crap, 20% About Stargate, 10% about the mod and discussions related to the mod. So please, if you feel the urge to talk about something not related to the mod, go seek out the Stargate Megathread or the "General Cocksplurt" forum.

i was a bit scared when they closed, because the SBEP closed at the same time, and i posted to them within 5 mins of them closing, second last in SG thread, and last in SB3, so i thought it was closed just to me or something :D

Seems so. And I think it's for good. Just think about: For "large" thread, you need to tell the database: "Get all posts, which belong for this thread, starting on page X to page Y".

As more posts you have (Vegeta, what does the scanner say about it's post-counts? - It's over 9,000! - Actually even more than 10,000), as longer this can take.

Concerning all the offtopic talk in the late times, it doesn't matter if people post offtopic in the old or in a new thread.

well, because the input's only take numbers, you dont really need an e2, there is no complicated code or anything, just wire a number into it and it dials,

Yeah, the life sign detector or Alteran handheld multifunctional device     they used it as a bio-scanner in the episode Tower, or as radiation/energy signal detector, it can control puddle jumpers (that was in an episode idk which) ,used in that laptop-like thingie in the episode Aurora, and so on... not just a lifesign detector...    
so it had four little buttons and a bigger one, a touchscreen I think, and more rounded top and bottom...
it was a bit more thick, and yeah, it was a bit transparent like milkglass...

my model wasnt textured....
i know that its semi transparent,
and i used a render i found as a reference and it only had 2 buttons :O

Well you saw what we linked for you, so you can base it on the original, really existing scanner...

Looks great votekick! Code it like the MALP, add outputs to a wire graphic screen 8add a layout too, like it was a real computer from the SGC) and it is done!

lost count - especially with the cack that goes on in these threads now, with all the arguments etc, begging for stuff to be released blah blah blah

Hopefully this topic won't end up like that - but i'm going to bet atleast one person asks for something related to a release date or an item they want before everyone else.
