I'm building a new PC and all of the parts should be arriving by my house by Wednesday... However, I was reading that I would need to have SATA cables for the HDD I ordered (WD 1TB Black http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136284). What exactly do I need to buy to connect this to the PSU or is it special cables that I need to connect it to the motherboard? Also, would I need 2 cables since the DVD Burner I ordered is also OEM (A review I was reading about the HDD said you would need SATA cables since it was OEM)?

No, Newegg doesn't include cables with OEM hard drives.

Just pick out the length you need.

Edit: this is for connecting to the motherboard, your power supply has / should have the power connectors you need.

Really? I bought my WD tb from staples actually, and in the box was the SATA cable.
Do they open the box and take it out, or am I missing something?

Yeah you bought yours in a retail package. OEM just includes the item itself, no cables or manuals or anything.

You should get everything needed to connect your parts.

If its OEM it won't have a sata cable included. It'll just be the drive wrapped in anti static wrapped in bubble wrap. The motherboard SHOULD come with at least one sata cable, but you may need to buy a second. In my case I had to buy a second sata cable because my drives were both OEM and my motherboard only came with one cable.

Mine came with six.

Sata cables are like 2 bucks, they cost to ship them is more then the product itself.
