I probably won't be a drawer (I totally suck) but I can give suggestions for characters. Here's a sort of engineer/repairbot type character:
Here's a concept for a weapon (keep in mind in real life this is a very small revolver):![]()

That wrench is pretty damn enormous, your lines are VERY wobbly, and why does an engineer need what looks to be a pipe bomb?
Well, I suck at drawing, and I can't really do small objects. And he doesn't need a pipe bomb, I was just drawing what was in my head.
He doesn't look quite steampunk to me. He seems like he'd fit more in a megaman game.
True, true.
This is a piece of crap, but :

Ok, well, I think now would be a good time to introduce another character. And don't think you have to draw everything, you can, but you can also just send me a text description or a quick 30 second doodle, i'm fine with any of those.
I just did a 30 second doodle (above). Do you mind if he had that pistol that I posted above? Also, maybe give his face more of a skeletal structure (rounded at the top flat at the bottom). That would be great, thanks!
Oh yes, and he would preferably be a member of the resistance that we're/you're about to start.
I love the style. Maybe abit more shading and some more stuff in the background, interesting so far however.
So far i've only received one suggestion, come on people, give me at least a second one :P
I would love to be a second drawer, really, but I don't know how to draw steampunk :frown:
Just draw copper colored robots with top hats and a bunch of exhaust pipes and you should be ok.
Go meet up with the riot of repressed robot revolutionaries (RRR lol) currently fighting the police forces.
If you are to start a resistance group, you must first understand the types of automatons.
First there are your average everyday ones. They have special chip installed in them to establish control. Unless you remove this chip, they are nothing but mindless slaves to the humans. They are built with minimal armor and are vulnerable unless you can modify them.
Then there are the free ones. They are mostly scattered throughout the land in small runaway settlements. Those in the city won't last long, as they are hunted down. They are mostly older models since the newer ones almost never make it out of the city. They are fairly easy to find outside of the city, constantly skirmishing with military search parties. They usually have modified armor that can take small arms fire.
Last but not least there are the military ones. Heavily armed and armored, these are a force to be reckoned with. They are rarely brought out of their storage facilities unless in case of a large scale attack on the city. They are well guarded and sometimes have even been dismissed as non existent.
(Cortex dummy?)
First get a riot going. While the riot goes on escape the city to seek out the Free Ones.
As the description says, the only way to get a riot going is to be constantly ripping out the chips of the robots, then convincing them to join you. That might be a little time consuming.
So why do you have free will?
I thought that too. :P
Is it too late to add a character?
Our robot guy totally needs to find Johnny 5 and team up with him yo.
Go ahead and pm the character to me and i'll find a spot to fit him in.
Nice drawing, but your ass is pulsing?
Yeah it sounds funny but when I get really tired (usually from staying up late alot) random parts of my body start pulsing.
My body saying go to bed.
I'm going to heed it's call.
PS: Is there an oil bar our pal can go to?
I like the style, and the character, Gabe seems cool.
I hear that!
I say Gabe looks around for some sort of automaton-only bar, avoiding all contact with humans for safety.
Could my latest bot be an ally of Gabe, please?
As you walk to the bar, you come upon a sight that's become all too common.
A public execution. These happen so frequently people seem to just walk past them without even noticing. Although something seems strange about this one. You don't think you've seen a model quite like this before. It seems like even though the chip prevents him from doing it, he's trying to beckon you.
Walk over to the man and distract him by talking while signaling the robot to run.
Ahem.
Oh, he has to obey the human. Sorry.
Stealthily take out the man. (if possible)
Cause an accident which doesn't interfere with the three laws of robotics. :V
Post #71
You decide to take out the executioner stealthily
Quiet as a mouse.
Ah hah, so that's where he gets his revolver. :D
Sorry to burst your bubble there, but that isn't your character
Oh. Meh, I didn't really have a bubble XD.
Give the revolver to the other robot/have the other robot pick it up.
Oh, and just for future reference, it's "executioner" not "executer". Sorry for being a grammar nazi.
I think i'll take a tf2 break till some other suggestions come in.
Can i have a character too? Some kind of stealthy dude, with an knife thrower and/or a silenced USP
He looks quite skinny, like your character but a bit smaller and with green eyes and a black coat + hat
Hey Clockcluck, our characters could be like buisness partners. My guy is a bulky robot with a skeletal structure and a huge-ass magnum revolver with a scope, and you are a stealthy small dude with a small pistol. Make sense to you?
You take the officer's revolver for yourself and head home with the other robot
"Clark, I brought company."
I'm not redrawing it every time you go back to your house. Also, second upgrade time.
.
Install this to the revolver.
Also, can my guy be a bulky robot with a skeletal structure and a huge-ass magnum revolver with a scope?
He said make a concept image for him to work with, bulky with a magnum doesn't exactly complete a design. How many optics, legs, arms, etc. does he have? Exactly how large is "bulky"? Is he aggressive? What is he composed of? Is his construction sloppy or neat? Questions like that can be answered in concept work. Take the time to open MS paint and work.
