Yeah it's condition isn't very good. But the model itself is very rare (here in Denmark atleast). I'd really like to have one, I could take good care of.

I think the headlights are a bit over the top and those weird bars on the front intakes look out of place.

Just in my opinion.

Why does the government give bailouts to them, they aren't ever going to stop producing ugly cars that no one buys.

I thought about one of these, a Celica All-trac, (GT-4 in other countries) because it was a cheap 4wd car that would make a nice starter car for rallying.

Then i read RallyAmericas's rule about beginners only being allowed to race 2wd cars :(

I now have about 4000$ total saved up for my car, 4-5k left to go for my s2k. :)

Also this is what happens when an fully loaded semi hits my mom, then a cop. It was hit and run, if the lawsuit goes well, well you can pretty much guess what will happen.

Have fun with that, in most states there's a cap on how much you can sue for even if you're paralyzed.

Don't expect much money out of it unless your mom is unable to work for the rest of her life. Then you're still looking at around $60k that you'll actually get, after paying your lawyer.

Who disagreed? It's not a GT-R, it's a GT-T. It has the GT-T spoiler, doesn't have a GT-R badge, and it has GT-T fenders.

Also, pic of the engine:

If that's an RB26DETT, my Toyota has 500 horsepower.

We got the truck back today after being "repaired", it's fucking terrible. I swear the drivetrain is binding or something because the car feels half as powerful as it did before, and it makes a clunk noise every now and then. Suspension and steering is complete bullshit, it was painted with spraypaint and the rear quaterpanels were welded on. They also painted over all the seals and plastic, so they painted over them again with black paint and got it all over the windows.

My dad and I drove from Edmonton to Vancouver in it (14 hours on the road), it ran great. Got 18 MPG which is pretty good considering it weighs 4,100 pounds and hasn't had any sort of tune-up since 1986.

Only problem is it needs a new heater core. Anyone know how hard those are to replace? Removal of the dash isn't required, its all done under the hood.

Thanks for the comments guys, it's such a fun car to drive. It actually feels like you're driving a ship, because you can actually see the corners of the hood (it doesn't slope down like newer cars for aerodynamics) and there's little indicator lights on the corners. I could go on for pages about all the cool shit it has, and mostly everything still works!

Indeed. Power seats, heated mirrors, power windows, locks, antenna (but it's broken, I never listen to FM anyway) power trunk release and pull-down.
Also, because the suspension is so soft, the back end sits really low if you put 3 people in the back. Whenever the back starts sagging, an air compressor comes on and fills the rear air shocks so it remains at the correct height. Oh and the headlights come on automatically when it gets dark.

Yeah, standard transmissions are getting uncommon in North America, and never seen in these big pre-90's land yachts.

Manual transmissions truly are a dieing art. Most kids at my school probably don't even know how to drive a manual. They're too busy buying ugly shirts at American Eagle or getting their 7th iPhone replaced.

At least when I take drivers ed I won't ever have to wait for a car because I can just use the one with a manual transmission that they are required to have but nobody (including the instructor) drives.

Yea but their 0-60 time is slower than their 1/4 mile time.

Makes it kind of hard to pass people or merge into traffic.

And besides the suspension, they're not much nicer inside than any midrange luxury import.
