hmmm.. i'm not sure what makes the fps so high. the computer's ram is REALLY high and the graphics card is also really good. what gives it such high frame rate?
anyway, i'm gonna try not to talk about for the sake of not getting banned and for the OP
lol the CPU, card, and RAM.
Gmod under heavy load hardly even takes 4% of his CPU. I'm sure his 50 other background programs aren't helping that though. Gmod is an old game though, on an old engine, it's not very resource extensive unless your trying to make it that way or play a really old machine (like myself currently >_<).
Edit: His parts have steady temps most of the time too. Last time I asked his CPU was round 32 degrees Celsius while playing, the card staying in the range of 52-56 Celsius. He keeps the fans below 50%, says he doesn't want them to burn out, (cause you know, they aren't made to run high or anything, I admit he's a little un-informed) guess he thinks they burn out after 4 hours of 70%.
Re-edit: Here's another, he keeps his damn computer clean (like myself), blowing it out, wiping it down, making sure everything is working correctly, does this every few months or so. I do it once a month though, damn dirt fields. Seriously, I've seen some of the threads of "post your desk/computer" kind of crap, and It shocks me how filthy so many people keep the place, I couldn't live like that, plus my computer is an investment, I don't upgrade to new computers every few years, I wait a good long 5-6 years (about the time it really starts to wear down your nerves) and then blow some money on good parts. I have the patience to look at 20 FPS for a few years after the first 3 or 4.
And yes, this is getting rather off-topic hehe.
I didn't read the latest update notes, did garry change something that allows more people to be on servers or is this a hack?
