You sure did work hard for a stupid joke. :)
You sure did work hard for a stupid joke. :)
You know, if everyone did 8 angles for the units and whatnot you could re-skin Red Alert or something.
That would be interesting.
That's pretty damn hard. :(
It's not that simple.
8 angles and 8 walks which have several steps which have a idle stance which is even more?
Edited:
and those 8 angles have a shooting stance and a death animation
Edited:
and then when the corpse turns into a skeleton thats 8 more

and programming
I am pretty sure they used 3D models to do those games.
No, I really don't think they did.

For RA2.... i think they render a lo of the units from 3D models. As well as SC and other games from that era.
No it's working fine thankyou. (Dammit he's banned)
It's all pixels, TY2D2
RA2 used Voxels.
For buildings/Infantry?![]()
A work in progress. Thanks to whoever made the trees, houses, and the truck which I reskinned.
Some people look at your art as inspiration to try, meanwhile people like me spend 45 minutes on a car then zoom out only to find it looks like complete shit and you ask your steam friend if he can tell what it is and they reply "a house" (not a joke unfortunately) and just screw the whole thing and play Team Fortress Two.
Added some more houses and troops, as well as a general. I've reached a mental roadblock as for what to do next. What do you all reccomend?
AA. :banjo:
I'm just wondering why the trees and bushes next to the 2 -storey building are growing in exact same spots next to the other 2-storey building where they're growing in exact same spots next to a 2-storey building that I made in that random village a few pages back. ;)
Like I said, I just used some of the premade houses for the sake of ease. Thank you for making them though, you've made the whole picture much easier.
I did post the original houses a few pages back, as individual objects to be used, without any unremovable trees or stuff in front of them. ;)
Edited:
Oh, sorry. I did not. ;)
Here they are.

I'm really loving this art. If any of you hang about in the programming section you may have seen the isometric terrain engine I created. I've started modifying it to a snow theme and if it's ok with the authors I'm going to start adding some of the building and vehicles when I get my terrain generator finished. I may even continue this to create a simple game or just a cool base creator program :)
You haven't fixed the red house yet :frown: the one on the right has snow on it's outside too while theres a roof thingy.
If that's so important, fix it yorself it you need to use the house. :)
Progress
I don't really like the yellow soldiers...
bumpy
Yes, I was just going to bump it. People who are new to this thread, go back a few pages and see what you could use if you want to make something. They're all free to use except those on which specifically reads: "Don't use this." and those which have been identified as someone's army property.
A small "thug" hideout

Added a bar. :V

this is isometric not your old 2D crap
Get out stupid 09er, it's nice, but 2D can't fit with ISO, fix it and it'll work.
Last I checked join date elitism was a bannable offense. So stop being a douche to people just because their account is new.
Kman.
So is backseat moderation.
Just remember the rules on how to write and read constructive criticism and we will all get along just fine.
So lets all join in.
Yeah, does it matter? Now let's go less off-topic I didn't even offend you, TY2D2.
Hi, don't mind me, just bumpin an awesome thread.
This thread doesn't deserve to die.
Someone should put these together in a wallpaper. Preferably 1920x1200
