Finally, different changes to the GRU

These seem pretty nice. I'm glad Valve's finally taking on the Ubersaw and Blut issues.

I hope every class gets one item in a big update.

That way, there wont be hordes of people farming one class for the weapons + achievements.

I was kinda hoping they'd buff the syringe gun rather than nerf the bluts. I want my no-reload syringe gun :(

Ah well. The ubersaw one makes sense at least.

Haha. Fuck you, no. Try buffing the default gear instead of nerfing the unlocks, silly developers~.

Then again, I suppose the whole 'crafting' thing will fix that.

I really don't think the spy needs a fire retardant suit.
Only if it had a major downside to even it out.
Perhaps added vulnerability to shotguns?
That would make it harder to fish out with the flamer, but both soldier, engineer and pyro could take him down easier with their shotguns.

The suit replaces the revolver, I heard.

This is meant to fix the fact that Battle Medics wouldn't rely on their teammates.

Interesting, however I would be rather confused if the suit was put in the weapons section rather than in the new "misc" section.

The problem with the Ubersaw currently is that there's no reason to switch over to the Bonesaw, it has way too many benefits over the other one. Same with the Blutsauger.

It does. As you can see, it's equipped in the primary slot, instead of the revolver.

So, a misc unlock for each class? That would be cool: Maybe the fire suit the spy has reduces cloak time or speed.

I would like to see a bullet vest for the soldier, and some kind of tripple jump heel springs for the scout, aboth of these with nerfs, like less speed or something.

Pyros also die from flame retardedness. The suit just makes it so you don't stay ignited, but you'll still burn like other Pyros would.

Doho, battle medics. More like waste of time.

Then again, I've done some fun things with an impromptu uber as medic, but still, the Blut is not a combat tool, its an escape tool.

Also, flame retardant suit + DR. Tons of fun.

The other one reduces damage from fire by 90%, the other stops you from igniting. They both look like wrenches in the equipment slot and don't have any visual changes.

Yeah, I rarely "Battle medic" like people call it... however I do rely heavily on the blutsauger when I am faced with threats such as spies or scouts trying to take me out while the guy I'm healing is distracted/too retarded to help me.

My bet is that the Suits will:
A) End up like the Razorback
B) Become used by only Pro Sapper and knife only spies and become the new Razorback

Spahs I understand. A good ubersaw to the face does him in well, but if he breaks out the Revo, then yeah, Blut him. Scouts are trickier and more of an annoyance. I usually high tail it when a scout decides to bee line right for me and unload the Blut as I backpedal. Most of the time they're hurrFaN scoots, so I usually die instantly. :c

The fire retardant thing is not going to work if pyros can still hear the "sizzling" sound from burning an enemy.

As soon as they hear that, it triggers some primal instinct to follow the target until it is dead, even if that means they will have to chase it across the map.

Although it would allow spies to survive a pyro attack ONLY when teammates are nearby to quickly kill the pyro.

I don't think so. There was already word of the new suits way before, and there were some other images of the new weapons similar to these.

It also might help them IF they survive the attack and then makes an escape before the pyro has the time to keep flaming you up.
