The boss looks like an enemy from Quake also the picture is strangely funny and totally not scary. Except when the boss runs at 30 mph, screams with white noise and hits for 1 hp so you have to fight this thing for at least 2 minutes.

I interpreted it as a Goldsrc mod that went to the trouble of adding in stuff present in Source

omg, this looks AWESOME, the only thing tipping me off to it being GoldSRC is the small maps, low-detail gun (lantern looks nice) and NPC deaths are animations, not physics, but that looks REALLY creepy, i wish i had a goldsrc game...

IMO, I like the feel of HL1 mods more than HL2 mods. They feel "tighter" and less like the original game.

For example: the feel of Synergy vs. Paranoia. Paranoia feels a lot better.
