So i got my nice new ipod touch 3g today, works great and all that. The problem is since there isn't a 3.1 jailbreak and you can't downgrade the 3g to 3.0, I have to wait till a 3.1 jailbreak, don't I? This fucking sucks.

There isnt a new jailbreak yet, but it will come soon.
Also, i got mine yesterday too :D.

Shouldn't you have looked that up before buying? And don't expect to have a jailbreaked device 2 weeks after it has been released. It's not easy to do it with the hardware used in the 2G and 3G.

Dude, iPods aren't 3G. They're iPods not phones.
Also wait for the damn jailbreak. I waited 6 months for one.

The GreenPoison Jailbreak should be out some time soon. It's supposed to allow Jailbreaking on 3G Touch's. And Got mine today and I fucking love it.

As the other ones where 1G and 2G isn't it just logical that the 3rd one is called 3G? There's no reason not to call it that.

Every phone is 3G nowadays so it's pointless to call them 3G phones.
Actually, every phone is 3.5G (HSDPA)nowadays.

1. Use pwnagetool to create a custom jailbroken .ipsw
2. Restore with that .ipsw in iTunes

Since the last macworld. It only has 8gb, 32gb, and 64gb iirc.
