That 47" Hypercarve is an amazing cruising/carving board, but you won't get a lot of sharp maneuverability. I use one as my spare, for friends and the like. I highly recommend it.

so my final decision unless proven other wise is to get original skateboard's Malakai 40, with s8 200mm trucks, retro zigzag 70mm 78a wheels, and stock abec three bearings.

If it's your beginning board, then that's a waste of money.

It's better to find a local shop where you can converse with the people there and get a perspective on what they like.

When you're a beginner then you really don't need a super special board, I was going to get an Original but I just went to SBI and bought an Arbor board which is very nice.

Glad to hear you are skating my friend. I went skating today in downtown with my buddy, we met two other longboarders (who are really nice guys) and we skated for hours. The city is really empty (Clearwater, only scientologists walk around) so we had a blast.

Mines the one on the right. Its VERY maneuverable, but that thing gets wobbles like none other. Makes me wonder why I got such a tiny board :( Still love long boarding though.

Well my longboard had a small accident with a car today and as a result, is now split in two. The Gullwing trucks are still okay so I'll recover those for my replacement board.

Only problem is that I have very little idea of what to get. I've been skating on my Sector 9 Pintail for about a year though I have no clue what to get to replace it. I'm looking for a board which is great for cruising around town, though isn't insanely long like my last one was.

Any suggestions?
