What you have to realize is that sometimes there is no other option. The scumbag OBVIOUSLY wasn't deterred by the mere presence of a shotgun. Had she had not shot him, he wouldn't have stopped. There would be a totally different outcome.

Sad thing is, is that most people who break into your house don't use basic logic, hence why they've broken into your home. These people are looking to steal your stuff insted of buy their own stuff.

Theres also the fact that they might be on something, so why risk your own life by not shooting to save your own?
