Supermarket giants Tesco have been forced to remove a Christmas card from their shelves after a mother of 3 claimed it was 'discrimination'.

The card features Santa with a red haired child on his lap, with the words, 'Santa loves all kids - even ginger ones.'


The mother of 3, whose children themselves have red hair, said the card was 'discrimination' and 'disgusting', she also said that if the card was about an obese child, or a black child, the store would have been closed down by now.

I agree with this part, what's the difference between hair discrimination and skin colour or body type discrimination? Why should it be acceptable to hate on people with a certain hair colour, but offensive if it's because someone has a different skin colour? Or being fat, which isn't as easy to change compared to dying your hair, not that anyone should need to do that if people weren't so hostile of differences.

I can't think of one serious reason why this ginger hate started.

I remember taking the piss out of ginger kids a lot in a light hearted manner but I don't remember anyone actually seriously despising them. I mean the worst I've ever said was when some jackass kid who just happened to be ginger stood up and called me out on one small mistake I had made in a speech on some shit no one cared about and made a long speech to the class and myself as I stood there dumbfounded wondering why he was trying so hard to be funny.

Everyone was getting pretty bored by that point and the ginger kid thinking he was hilarious and smart for calling me out on something I nor anyone else gave a shit about goes "Now how are you going to counter that" and had an extremely smug expression on his face.

I just responded with "I may have made a mistake but at least I'm not ginger." which made the whole class burst out in laughter and applause. Teacher gave me full marks and left a little comment saying 'Nice comeback'.

Seems everyone's just been brought up to make fun of gingers.

I know a ginger kid, in school he was quite liked.
He was also fucking great drummer, he's currently in about 4 bands, so I'm told.

The kid I was talking about was also pretty popular but he was widely known as a complete twat for reasons like the one I mentioned and for taking the piss out of everyone so everyone jumps at opportunities to humiliate him.

He's the type of kid who thinks it's hilarious to say your name loudly, look at you then turn around to his friends and start laughing as they pretend to whisper about you. Sadly this doesn't seem to work a lot of the time because the people he's talking about will just loudly say to eachother "Don't worry about it man, at least you're not ginger". He takes it really seriously though and always shuts up when you mention it.
