My adventurer got his left eye poked out by a arrow which became stuck on its head. I haven't removed it due to fearing he'll just bleed out. You can imagine his figure going around with a arrow coming out of his eye socket.

Does anyone know if you can make your self an anvil with the "reaction technique" ?, using the smelter to make stuff that it normally doesn't..
If you mean editing the reaction_standard files to made stuff out of nothing, adamantium wafers out of nothing for example, then everyone knows.

Ug some area's are just impossible to settle in. You know this when your wagon carrying your precious supplies is randomly incinerated as soon as you load. Wait it gets even better the wagon went a blaze right in time for the dwarvenly drink till you fall asleep time. It's a wonderous holiday where all your dwarfs drink boozes and promptly fall asleep where they stand. Which just so happened to be inside the wagon. Just picture how all 7 of them died yourself or draw a pretty picture to show everybody just how retarded these dwarfs are.

Some dwarf hunter collapsed outside while hunting due to a lost eye.
A pack of wolves enroached, and he fainted at the same time.
A bug occured and filled the log with messages about cancelling rest because of wolves.
I looked at the log, and there were 10,00 rest cancels because of a wolf, all of them happened in under a minute.

Then the same occured with a dark gnome.

They have pretty much the same jobs as dwarves do, except they never bother attending to them.

And they get their living from magical barrels of endless food supply.

After demolishing my planned tower, I set about assembling a Fuck-The-World-esque plan to flood the valley in front of my fortress with the red stuff. Only one dwarf died during construction, which is something of a safety record for me. Anyway, I've got it running, and even as I type the smouldering mass blobs it's way across the landscape. I feel so proud.

Also, do dwarves with mangled limbs ever fully heal and resume work? I've got a few casualties from the less-than-formal tower demolition, and may have to catapult them over the walls into the magma sea if they're of no real use.

Get a stonecrafter or mason up to legendary and make it so you can use gold nuggets as rocks.

Then make a bunch of crafts/statues useing the gold nuggets.

I know that, silly. If I didn't know what it was, I'd sure as hell learn after trying to set up some wells into it. :P

Well, that rules out a few of them. Apparently limbs take a good few years to heal, too. Methinks a fiery aerial exodus is in store for them. We need all the resources I can take.

Speaking of which, if my army isn't ready by the time Goblin Claus comes, I'll just patch up my hole in the wall and wait until they leave (only entrance to my fortress is a set of stairs inside of a small hill.)

In that same vein, how do you patch up walls you didn't want to dig out?
