Bit rude of you
Yes well it's very frustrating to see such a plethora of posts on a very inactive thread only to find it's some banter going on.
part of those posts contained model resource, maybe you should learn to port so you wont think every 7 posts means a release
since its frustrating not having a release here help us out

Maybe you should help them out instead of being a tool about it
I found a Grievous model here http://models-resource.com/pc_comput...sbattlefront2/ is from the game battlefront II
Good find Osymax. It's always good to get models from Battlefront 2 in my opinion. I know they are low poly but I plan to use them for background fill in my projects. I just wish the Models Rescource had a much larger selection of battlefront 2 models to work with.
Can someone fingerpose and eyepose this

General question, does he have only 2 arms or is he body grouped with the 4 fours too?
Although it looks like two hands, it's actually 4. If I remember correctly, Grievous could fuse both arms on each side of his body into one, thus making it so he appeared to have either 2 arms or 4 arms at any given time.
The way that particular model is set up though, it's the 2-arm form.
Yeah, the model he has is two armed and cannot be body-grouped, This model is a different but just modeled with two more arms
I thought I would share this with all of you. Here is a link to a user on Google 3D Warehouse who has also ported TFU1 Models. I found a few NPC's there that I seriously thought couldn't be ported like, Mon Mothma for instance. They're in Google sketchup format so you'll need the latest versions of 3DS MAX (don't know if Milkshape 3D or Noesis recognizes that format) to port them into Gmod but here you all go. :)

It has only 2 arms and are not fingerposable :(
God dammit, where is Obi-Wan. I can't wait much longer
Shotgunguy, are you able to add the kind of dissmemberments like in JK and JKJA, I remember I was able to cut every character in half, arms or head.
Maybe, I'm not entirely sure to be honest. I think there was an option to import the dismemberment meshes. I'll take a look at it when I'm done with my modeling homework.
Thanks alot. Those were some good days dismembering all those imp officers and stormtroopers.
I wonder if it is possible to port from the Wii Version of SWTFU. If that is the case then maybe porting the Han Solo model from the SWTFU2 Endor DLC won't even be necessary. I've seen a list of names of the playable characters from the SWTFU PSP, PS2, Wii versions and among them are a few that I would love to have-even though Han and Lando are in the Kinect Star Wars models pack. They are of course Han (in SWTFU Wii it's episode 4 Han and that's particularly what I am after), Assajj Ventress, Aayla Secura, Mara Jade, Darth Phobos, Yavin Luke. Don't know if the Leia model from the Wii version is seen in ingame. It would be cool if that could be found out. I know the PS3, PC and Xbox models are higher poly than the Wii models but with some cases not by much, to be honest-in my case for the moment Poly doesn't matter. I'm putting JKA Models in the same image as TFU Models.
Could someone grab the TIE Bomber from JKA?
porting from the wii version is simple. just use game assassin, its just that the wii models look awful. keep in mine a wii game and a xbox games models will never come close in poly count
not when the xbox limit is around 14 to 20K and the wii limit is far below that I don't want to say exact number cause im sure someone can prove me wrong on certain cases. but most cases a wii model is 9K at the most....
or below.
I would do it myself but I don't have the wii version for the moment. And I'm not even saying I want all of those models. I only want the few that aren't in the XBOX, PS3, PC Version. I can agree with what you are saying about the Poly differences but I can fix them up.
And the other thing is, if I went looking for it myself, I've been hit with ill luck when it comes to ISO extraction lately, that by the time I finally get my hands on the ISO someone will have already ported those TFU Models.
Okay I am going to share a fan made project with you all that I found and thought it would be a good choice for you all.
Question are there any Poser/DAZ 3D users?
This is a poser/DAZ hair-morph of Princess Leia's bun hairdo. There used to be a great Leia head morph on this site but it's not there now sadly. Shame, the user had also made great poser morphs of Han Luke and Gov Tarkin. Anyway enough ranting here is the link to the Hair morph.

Great to see this thread is still going after all these years...
alright will release a big pack later, with a lot of major and minor characters from all the seasons
I've only been here on Facepunch since the beginning of the year and it's great to see a group of people devoted to Star Wars in this manor. I'll be honest at this time a year ago I didn't even think porting models from games was even possible but when I discovered Facepunch forums I guess I really stand corrected :)
I think we can give plasmid a lot of credit for porting the uber haul of Star Wars models he's ported recently. I mean Both Force Unleashed games (except the Endor DLC-we were never able to figure that out), Jedi Knight Academy, Both KOTOR's, Republic Commando, and now XBox Kinect Star Wars (that game is terrible but the models in it look great-we can put them to a better purpose). I think now he has plans to get the models from Star Wars Galaxies, he may do Clone Wars Adventures but I don't know if he knows that Corra_Ashu is also looking into it.
I'm still hoping that he'll get the Battlefront 2 models. Shockingly enough I am finding those models very hard to find in format I recognize like FBX and PSK.
I know that those models are so low poly that they wouldn't even be worth the work but I think I can find a use for them. I plan on doing a fully 3D Animated Star Wars fan film and I'll probably just throw those models in for background fill along with KOTOR and SOME JKA models, use TFU/Kinect/Republic Commando models in the foreground. Don't get me wrong I've looked at the JKA Models from the Knights of the Force Mod and some of them look pretty high poly. I'm really into the works of that user Hapslash. The ANH, ESB Leia models for instance. I probably will port some of those models, at least the ones I still can't find in the other packs. Most of the users who made those models disappeared years ago, so I think I'm safe as long as I credit them.
well just so everyone knows, these models aren't rigged when exported from CWA and have smoothing and mirror problems and some of them don't even wanna smooth at all, plus they have very very low res textures, i'm spending a lot of time trying to make the textures higher res and rigging them up,

I like the Trooper at the top. :)
How are you getting models from CWA Corra_Ashu, are you using a 3d ripper or an extractor?
Also doesn't CWA have a Cybernetic Maul boss or something? Holy hell you have to get him!
theres a post on xentax that explains how to get them, its pretty easy.

I feel dumb asking, but did the Rancor models ever get released? I was quite looking forward to using them in SFM.
The only reason I didn't release them was because the fingers were acting weird. They didn't rotate in the right direction when you used the finger poser.
Hmm... Did you get rid of the model, then? Or do you still have it? I would be more than happy to deal with that minor issue, because i'd rather have a FANTASTIC rancor model than no rancor model at all.
I'll send you a link over steam chat.
Thanks so much <3
Even if they rotate in the wrong direction it's still a minor thing, i've posed with ragdolls that had messed up fingerposing and that wasn't much of a problem.
I would really like a public release on 'em.
Sorry if i came out as offensive or arrogant, not intended.
I'm just curious about this but does anyone have plans for the models from 'The Old Republic'? I'm particularly after the ships. Think that combining those ship models with the SW ship models I've found at Sci-Fi 3D and Sci-Fi Meshes.com (just now found a Prince Xisor fighter there) would look great in source film maker.
That would be uber-awesome.
You should, that game had some great models.
Since I use Maya I'll have to experiment with porting though, since porting from Maya to Source isn't exactly easy.
