Here is one of my favourite ways of getting rid of nobles:
A long narrow corridor (about 80 tiles long for good measure) of Dwarven Atom Smasher with a lever at the end (witch triggers the system).
As bridges raise/lower several ticks after the lever has been pulled the noble should be in the death zone when they move. The best part of this method is that there is no corpse left to clean away afterwards (dwarves who liked him will get bad thoughts for lack of proper burial).
Remember to change the lever permissions so that only the intended victim can use it (yes nobles can use levers)

The amount of new poisons in the new version will make for some hilarious deaths.

Types of poison effects: pain, swelling, oozing wounds, bruising, blisters, numbness, paralysis, fever, bleeding, coughing/vomiting blood, nausea, vomiting, unconsciousness, necrosis, impaired vision, drowsiness and dizziness
