Awesome work metromonkey.
And yea, April Fools. :unsmigghh:
Awesome work metromonkey.

So fucking dwarvenly! (dwarfenly?)
dorfy.
Every time I read the list I can't help but laugh out loud at this line:
"Eyelids clean the eyes so you don't have to soap them off, but if an eyelid is torn off, I think they might soap the eyes"
Dude, you CRASHED YOUTUBE!
Edited:
And is that edited, or can you have it like that normally?
I see now... It is part of April Fool's Day... Dammit, is isn't April yet here :saddowns:
Is that the world map? If so, what is it representing?
This video is of highest craftdwarfship.
Etched into the video is a lot of letters of gold.
The letters are striking a menacing pose.
This craft depicts the events of Canuhearme? being confused at Obsidian 23th 214
You guys are such cock teases with you yelling "Its released!" :flaccid:
It's Youtube's April fools joke, it's a screenshot of the video for Korpiklaani's "Wooden Pints" (which is a very dwarvenly song), in the "new" "ascii mode".
I gotta say... I kinda wish they would keep it :3:
you motherfuckers, I got excited :(
Thanks for doing an age old joke. You could probably declare that it is out every 30 minutes and half the people who read this thread would check everytime. I know I would.
You know what they need in this? The possibility of encountering a meteor crater, or a meteor itself.
Remember, tradition states that metal coming from a meteor is usually of supernatural quality. Perhaps it results in a guaranteed artifact weapon/armor?
and maybe if you mine into it there could be a forgotten beast inside it
or it could be full of magma
either one...
or both
The image of a Dwarf running across the map, only to get a "Urist McAstronomer has been hit by a meteor!" Is too hilarious to pass up.
This would be cool.
Also I'd like to see more complex weather effects in DF. There should be occasional very rare lightning strikes during rain, sometimes less rare depending on the storm's severity. They'd be more likely to hit trees than land or a dwarf, but if you built a really tall structure like a metal pyramid, it could actually attract lightning.
Other possibilities could be like... Tornadoes, hurricanes, and earthquakes.
Earthquakes would actually be really cool, because they might damage your underground structures, cause cave-ins, or disturb underground beasts. (adding more fun to the game)
The tip of my pyramid is Gold, wouldn't that make it a massive target?
Hurricanes would be awesome, same with tornadoes, items left in the open outside could get blown around the map..
The introduction of a random meteor strike would definitely entail some interesting creatures and events.
You could find a child in one of the meteors, it proceeds to become the most powerful soldier you have, by far.
Or aliens! With tentacles!
But it has only one weakness... Dolomite!
NO!
MICROCLINE
We should have a lightning to energy generation device, tall metal thing with metal walls to the bottom where the generator is it is and it creates the energy to power all are dwarven things.
The lightning is rare but is stored in dwarven batterys that somehow use ale, mechanisms and dwarven science to store energy.
Finally a use for the most eye-jarring stone in existence!
what are you talking about microline has an amazing color and everyone knows its material value is like 250 or somehting like that omg ur such a noob

I mean, there's going to be liquid and secretion. I can only hope that this can easily be modded in.

OR MAYBE CREATE A RACE OF TOILETMEN!!!!

Sorry, I'm a lil' sleep deprived...
New in DF 2010: Inter-dimensional portals
If that's ever implemented, the first thing I'm doing is make a "flood the world" lever.
The Black Towers of Olontost shall stretch into the sky, the halfway point will have a precarious 1 tile wide bridge connecting each segment of the tower, it will be around 10 tiles up.
Yes, this thing will be 20 tiles tall, should I make it EVEN BIGGER?
Also, I got a 120k Artifact statue, That thing is going to be in the burial room for the king.
I'm assuming 1 tile is somewhere near a story.
20 tiles is too small. I recommend 80 tiles.
I don't think there's enough Diorite on the map for something that big.
I'll get it as big as possible, though.
Oh dear

I never was interested in this game before. But, I have nothing else to do now so I'll bite.
I just got both eyes torn out by a child, then beaten down by that child and four more. There was a furnace operator too, but she did almost no damage compared to the masses of prepubescents pounding on me.
Digging out latrines actually sounds like a decent concept.
You don't have to build walls on the top floor, just make tons of spikes, rock traps, etc.
And if you can, have the main bedrooms from the base of the tower to where the corpses usually land when they fall. Make them have spinning fan blades for ceilings.

Sleeping in a shower of gore would be so badass.
I want to flood sieges with a septic tank.
