He was just there to fill in, but I thought even TJ and Derrick would end up continuing a relationship, I know I even thought about that before the whole working together as medics to save lucian alliance members lives.
My bet around the end of the episode of the final series, TJ dies because of her uncurable disease, does something to save the crew. Which will give Young something to think about, and why it would of been best to stay on that planet. Blame Rush, because of his desire to find the background radiation of the universe. But there has to be some sacrifices.

I think TJ will be fine, after all she has more time than this show.
Pretty good episode. I hoped they would tell us more about how Futura was created. So far it seems like a joke with Brody acting all grumpy and the name. Hard to believe it was rivaling the other nation. And I was really scared they would kill off Varro just like that. He deserves a little bit more screen time, too.

I wonder how they're going to end it all. They finally get to Destiny's destination, go home (somehow) or settle down at some planet?

I thought it was said that when they were canceled, that they were not changing any of the details of the last few episodes, so that when it ended, it would be as if the show were still going on?

Sounds like it's going to be a disappointing end to a series that started rubbish, but now has wasted potential.

I expect it will end in a cliffhanger and that's going to suck hard. But they really can't do much about it.

The cliffhanger how they are gonna die, because of those pesky drone ships surrounding inside a red giant, because they are trapped, the heat of the ship will intensify, also because other drone ships are at other stars, so it's gonna be a risky situation, I wonder if the blue alien scientists will help them, like the Ursini did for them, because all they wanted to do was get more data on Destiny, but you know the first time, they met it didn't go so well, see what happens, but this part isnt part of spoilers anyway
I know that the disease won't affect TJ for many years, but it'll make a heartbreaking scenario for Young, if she sacrificed her life, to do something for Destiny, to escape what I said in spoilers.
I want to end like a cliffhanger, and they go ahead and drop SGU, and come back later on in years to come and restart somehow, I doubt it though.
Anyway, the ratings improved, so much, for the earlier episodes that people thought dumbed them down and stop watching. Most of them properly got tivo anyway.
I think the pods will make a appearance again, making it so that When they do get out of it, Eli will help everyone get in one of them, so they survive somehow, and fly off without getting heated up, instead of them frozen for weeks, it'll be years, that'll make a great cliffhanger

Do you mean in the show? Young obviously cared he went back down to help when anyone else would think he was dead. if you mean fans, i cared. I liked his character

The character was so unlikeable. He is a traitor. First he tries to kill everyone on Destiny. Then he suddenly allies with them because it's convenient. His life in return for information that endangers his own people?
And just his face annoyed me. Maybe it's a personal thing.

Wasn't he just a medic, and I'm not sure he tried to hurt anyone. I don't remember him being in any other of the two shows, but I knew he looked familiar to the other guy.

Holly crap, the latest episode was great again! arghhh, I can't believe it's been cancelled. This show is like, my personal ideal of a great Sci fi show. Season 2 has just the right amount of drama and action balanced in a way that works great for all audiences imo. If only SyFy extended it for at least 1 more season!

Unrelated to Universe, but I've got the SG movies Arc Of Truth, Continuum and just Stargate
Which is the correct order to watch them? I've only watched Universe because the other series bored me

Stargate SG-1 first, then Ark of Truth at the end of the 10th season, then Continuum.
This latest episode was amazing. It literally had me sitting at the edge of my seat.
I feel bad for Parks tho'. Hope she recovers

As much as I'm glad she survived, I think that her living after what happened was a bit of an ass-pull.
How did she live through that? Even the bag she was carrying didn't get incinerated...

My thoughts exactly. I was all "NOOOO! Don't kill Parks!" the whole episode, but then when she actually did live at the end, my reaction was "Really? She lived trough that?". The ending felt kinda rushed (no pun inteded). I thought this was going to be a 2-parter when they spotted the drones at the planet and with Destiny headed for the star.

I'm beginning to think there's going to be big solution that'll get them out of there, and it'll be whether or not they survive. Then end credits.
But fuck, I want a season three, there's suppose to be some kind of new enemy anyway.
Oh well, too bad. Maybe I rather read crappy fan fiction of someone writing season three just not let go awhile.

You're welcome. And by the way, once you reach season 8 of SG-1 you might want to start to watch Atlantis. There's some interesting (although occasional) crossovers.
On another note, is it me or are they now fucked as far as food goes? No proper hydroponics lab anymore. Unless... wasn't the dome exposed to space back at the beginning of season 1? If so, then the bot repaired it, which means it can do it again :D

She might not be permanently blinded, it could be flash blindness. Though I wasn't really paying attention closer to the end of the episode.

This ranks as one of the best stargate episodes I have seen, on the edge of my seat for the entire 40 minutes, its brilliant in that it still seems to capture the grand sense of adventure the previous two shows had while still instilling a sense that they are actually going to get fucked over.

Well they found a shitload of cans. They'll have quite some mystery meals. Last episode will feature Eli doing some sort of PHP injection into the drones which cause them to attack eachother and then they win and it's the end of the series.

Yhea but cans don't last forever and they can't really gate to get more supplies.
Regarding the drones, if they pull some sort of deus ex machina (Eli goes "OH! We can reverse the polarity and make their singularities explode. TA DAH! Drones are gone") I'll be sort of disappointed. But to be honest, I don't think that will happen.
As far as I know, this season's filming was finished before they knew SG-U was getting canceled so my bet is it's all going to be set up for what season 3's first episode would have been.

Just from that one shot, it actually looks to be pretty interesting. I'd watch it, but I hate that some of the guys from SGU are in it, because that really means that no other network is picking it up.
