Is it just me or are berserk dwarves not so much of a problem any more? I just let a berserk fisherdwarf loose for shits and giggles, and all she's done so far is murdered her own child, killed a dog, wounded another, and picked a fight with the local legendary wood burner. Now she's shuffling around with busted knees and getting the shit kicked out of her by passersby.

I remember when berserk dwarves were close to demigods if they got loose, slaughtering everything in their path. Does anyone know if you can mod them to be more powerful?
That's because they wrestle. They use their hands. Wrestling is useless in this version, so they have a hard time doing any damage.

It took me a week to figure out how to find a good location, or to add new items to the embark list.

He doesn't know how to play, he's trying to say his inability to play is due to bugs.
I've witnessed the games fault and I can confirm that it is fucked up and it works completely fine for me. Now stop trying to act like you know him.

Wrestling is actually useful in certain scenarios, if a dwarf is attacked by a dog he needs to pry its jaws apart

I really hope Toady changes the way blood/snow and stuff spreads. I hate how it gets everywhere and my dwarves don't clean it up. :saddowns:

    Edited:

There's a forgotten beast composed of fire running around in my underground pools turning it all to steam.

Spirit of fires have came back to haunt me.

Can someone explain what I would alter to make mountains taller/larger in Custom Maps? Or, perhaps, to put Inactive Volcanoes at the edges of the mountain ranges, rather then in the center?

I'm getting pretty annoyed by the training trainee bug, where one stands in the barracks waiting and the other stands in his room with the job description "Going to doging demonstration". As soon as the waiting dwarf goes to get food or something, the other one immediately rushes to the barracks and waits for the instructor to come back.

Is this a problem with my minimum number of dwarfs training being set on 1?

hmm... Well, I set it back to two and its working now, I am a little concerned about how long this demonstration is going to be going on for, it seems that my leader is getting unhappy. I appointed a third to the military (I'm just getting the feel for everything) and hopefully that will take care of the two practicing forever.

For now they might train forever and basically kill themselves. You should try and schedule them downtime from training or reassign them or something.

My miner has been bed-ridden for the past three years due to a tragic self-inflicted channeling accident. If only I had gypsum for plaster making, then poor little Zasit could walk again.

And now a Hoary Marmot somehow killed one of my hunting dogs.

Make that 2 dogs and one unharmed marmot.

Gah, I hate the new channeling. Toady did it to prevent instant siege-blocking channels, but honestly it only takes a few more seconds to remove the ramps, or build a wall segment or something instead.

Now it leaves tons of little ramps everywhere, and you can't remove them if when they're submerged. That, and dwarves are constantly hurting themselves and dying from channeling out under themselves. I lost 3 miners just from channeling out tubes for wells, which wouldn't have happened with the old system.

How do I order my people to kill the marmot? It keeps disrupting my people and it can't escape my fort.

The Marmot just maimed one of my dwarven children. Shit just got real.

Useable stone is a natural leftover of digging through rock. Turn it into some nice furniture or make some crafts. You can also mark the stones for mass-dumping and put them all in a single-tile-wide dump zone, then mass-reclaim it later.

Oh god, my fortress is on a glacier and a elven caravan just came. I haven't built a trade depot yet, so he just waits on the edge of the map. Then, out of fucking nowhere a polar bear drinks all their booze.

There's about three screens just filled with that.

Also the channeling is just stupid, if someone wants to make an impenetrable fortress he can dig inside a mountain and wall off all exits. Not hard.

Would be nice if there was a job where dwarves take a bucket with water (and maybe some soap) and start cleaning blood out of designated areas. That grizzly bear that pushed my metalworker into the pond has all his blood spread over the center of my town now.

It's a trap! They are filling the bear with alcohol so they can detonate it inside your fortress!

They are a mix between weapon traps, cage traps and stone fall traps, but it's the mixture of blood, vomit, ichor and troll goo that colour them like that.

    Goblins overran your defences?
A forgotten beast made of ash attacked from the underground, none of my soldiers could kill it, so while my soldiers were busy attacking a blob of ash with really weak attacks, a massive goblin siege led by a demon attacked.

Likely the draltha's blood has a freezing point that is lower than the temperature in your area, so therefore it freezes in the barrel.
