I've struck HFS but my miners refuse to mine down any further.
Theres no magma in the way whatsoever and I'm nowhere near hell.
tl;dr I can't mine down the tube anymore
They're trying to tell you something.
Maybe you can't dig adamantine with copper picks anymore, I hope so
Nah, I dug out some adamantine just fine, they just won't dig deeper.
Infact they won't even mine out adamantine from that very z-level.
Yay. As if having "masterfully designed image of devil of fire" as my civilization symbol wasn't suspicious enough, my local government symbol is "a well-designed image of a dung beetle demon"...I've also noticed that there's one or two carvings of a five pointed star...!!
I really don't care why or how it works. It's just there to add more fun.
w/e copper picks mining adamantine is funny
Can Goblins die of dehydration/loss of blood/pain?
Seems my pit wasn't quite deep enough to kill some of them, so now they're just wandering around down there with broken limbs.
Goblins love magma, you should pour some into the pit.
They can die of old age or loss of blood, pain doesn't actually kill things, just makes them pass out I think
Pour in water first, then magma. Instant Goblin McSolo.
I'd love to pour down some magma, but unfortunately I haven't found any yet.
Ah well, they died of blood loss anyway, so I got the opportunity to dig the pit a few levels deeper.
A small question though, is blood bugged or something? Seems my meeting areas are completely covered in goblin blood now. I'm guessing it's because my dwarves have walked in it or something, and then headed off to have a party.
No blood isn't bugged, it's just incomplete. At the moment blood stains walls, which is kind of realistic but with no way of washing it off
Beware the Vomit-man.
Speaking of blood, what can I do with those (various)-animal blood barrels?
ok so i had to kill a forgotten beast in adventurer mode, so i went to his dark tower (he was the leader of a civ) and killed him no problem. but when i was leaving the tower i saw a few prisoners, so i helped them out and told them to follow me, only problem is that now i cant get them to stop even though i went back to a different town. what should i do?
I've let 10 untrained wrestlers fight a blind cave ogre.
It produced 70 fighting report pages.
So, has anyone built a 150 z level drop pit yet?
I've decided to set up in the most inhospitable part of my world: The arctic. Maybe it's the result of poor planning, but I have no seeds for either type of farming, the river is frozen over which rules out fishing, and only the occasional groundhog roams this wasteland.
I have dwindling supplies of food and have little protection from the elements other than a hole dug vertically down several floors for my people to hide in. I fear this may be the end of this godforsaken outpost.
Good god! The snow has melted revealing a fertile field, damn my lack of seeds.
So how do you even build pits with the new channels being retarded down ramps?
If only you had brought more animals.
Can plants from the underground caverns sprout in any underground soil, or do I have to irrigate?
I ask because I could've sworn it sprouted in my barracks on the last fort I made, and I do believe that I didn't irrigate that.
Hey guys I think it's Toady's birthday today!
