Only a Ridley Scott movie could get a screening for the trailer.

    Go see a 3D movie
Spend extra money on glasses (But I have two pairs left over)
    Strain looking at screen
Focus too much on 3D, harder to enjoy the movie

    I'll stick with reg. movies

I think Ridley Scott knows a bit more about movies than you do. If he thinks it adds to the movie then I believe him.

imax is awesome ok. the view and screen are awesome

    superior to regular screenings

also as shit as avatar was for its story, the visual spectacle of imax 3d was well worth the $15 cover charge

When the new trailer comes out or the movie? March 17th for new trailer, June 8th for movie. It comes out a week earlier for the UK and other places, though. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1446714/releaseinfo

I'm excited for this now. Space Jockies. Alien prequel. It's all good.

One thing I'm not sure I like is that everything in this movie seems more updated compared to the Alien/Aliens tech even though it's a prequel. I liked the bulky, Earth look. It made it feel like humans were basically shoving things made for Earth into space- bulky, ungainly, brutes. But now you have sleek space suits and fancy craft. Even the logo to Weyland-Yutani is fancy and new. My Weyland logo shirt I ordered will be outdated by the in-universe outdated logo in three months.

Correction- Weyland Corp only. Yutani is apparently a separate entity at this point in the timeline (which would semi-contradict both the Predator and AvP timelines (lol but who gives a fuck)).

what how would that contradict predator

weyland/yutani/any combination thereof wasn't even mentioned in either movie

You're forgetting the in-universe games. (lol)

Yutani was featured in Concrete Jungle, celebrating the merge with Weyland Corp.

In itself, that contradicts AvP2:R which features Yutani as a woman and implies that Yutani had the fancy tech that started the Weyland space industry.

    Extended universes, man. Extended universes.

On Yahoo! on Saturday, March 17th at 9:30 am PT there's gonna be some sort of Live chat with the Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender. I don't think we can actually ask questions but be there anyways I guess.
