I don't like the space suits, I don't know it's just something about them that makes them look tacky.

Well, this is several decades before Alien, so the technology isn't quite as good as it should be, hence the (I don't know what you have against them, I think they look great) "tacky" look?

That's a shitty statement though, because the Nostromo space suits from Alien look worse/less advanced than the ones in Prometheus.

Yeah, it bugs me how these people have some much more advanced looking tech compared to Alien.
But that's just the modern shine I guess....

Well the Prometheus is like a scientific research ship so their equipment is gonna be top of the line whereas the Nostromo was like a corporate mining vessel so their stuff was probably as cheap as possible therefore the difference isn't so unbelievable although ultimately who cares.

Yeah, the Nostromo and its crew were supposed to be grungy, not high tech. Not only that but it was planned to be a 'capture and return' mission all along so there was no need to waste a good ship and equipment and crew on that mission.

I still can't explain for my dislike of them, I guess every once in a while you see something that just doesn't work for you aesthetically.

I dislike that they look like they have massive bubbles on their heads. It just looks kind of silly.

It's hardly any different from current astronaut helmets. I'd rather have something that looks realistic/not far off than something that's clearly not feasible.

New TV spot just played during Mad Men. Nothing new near as I can tell, but it was nice. That scene of Prometheus landing was beautiful.

apparently this imax trailer has new footage, but i'm gonna stop looking at shit so i don't spoil the movie, i'm pretty sure it's what made watchmen less enjoyable

nothing that would ruin the movie atleast, just some new shots to remind us that this is a horror movie.
looks really cool.
the thing I love about movies like this is, no matter how much you deduce from the trailers, you'll never know 100% what's gonna happen, what it's really about.
there's aliens and people die.
