It's in the original movie for a fourth of a second. Look over the mountain range as Dallas, Lambert and Kane go towards the Derelict when Ash is watching them.

That concept art when I saw it in Gigers book on Alien scared me as a child, infact everything about the setting scared the hell out of me.
Edited:
I'm pretty sure Preatorians were in the comics as well just stating as al
Actually, they were created for a comic.
Sorry.
Edited:
Damn, ninja'd.
Well here's a news story i somehow missed:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...pioneer-263168
"On top of Bell, Scott is looking at Gucci as a possible directing vehicle. That project is a drama about the iconic fashion family in the 1970s and 80s. He's also considering Child 44, a serial killer mystery set in Stalinist Russia. His directing wishes could be altered by how well his sci-fi epic Prometheus, which stars Charlize Theron and Noomi Rapace and opens June 8, 2012, performs at the box office. Insiders at Fox say the studio is already exploring sequel options. "
Not sure if awesome
not interested
Don't care
don't be a dick bro
I still dont understand what im meant to see here.
Turn your brightness and contrast up.
I've done that, but I just dont see anything there.
We're looking at a valley or something arent we? Im sorry if im being dumb or something, but I just dont see anything there.
Its supposed to be a giant chestburster, or that's what I see anyway.

Yes.
Well, glad thats clear.
Also WOW.
That image isn't in the final film at all for a split second. It comes from a trading card set for the original movie.

Good quality photo of the guy standing next to the original alien penis chair thing from the prometheus trailer.
And
Werent all those cards set photos?
NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
GODDAMMITT!
So he's going to hand both versions of the film over to Fox, and them pricks will obviously chose the more audience friendly PG-13 rating so more people get to watch it, more people get to like it, less grimy, less scary or mindfuck for more $$$$ PROFIT...
FUCK!
Um we've known that for awhile. I think it's great news tbh considering that Fox was NEVER going to let him make an R Rated big budget film (it's sad but it's just the way big budget movies tend to work these days), so at least when the bluray releases we will get to see scotts original vision for this.
Well there goes all hope for this movie.
Any chance that one of the main characters might be secretly an android again?
The twist: they are all androids and one of them is secretly human.
Pretty sure it's already known that one of the characters is an android.
I don't know which one though, and I'm not sure if it's known to the rest of the crew in the movie or not.
No, we will all just wait for the unrated dvd to come out.
Rated PG, I guess this will mark the return of Childhood nightmares
Wrong, and all of the trading cards are on-set and publicity photos anyway. The only part removed is the sequence where Ash notices the Jockey Alien in the first place, as it gave away too much. That's direct from Jon Sorensen.
Still, not being able to see this film in it's true glory at the cinema will suck balls.
How fucking dare they make this film a PG 13. The Alien series is HORROR in genre. If someone names one PG 13 ''horror'' that is any good then they can prove me wrong. The last PG 13 horror movie I watched was White Noise, guess what? It fucking sucked.
Stop being such a pussy
it'll be fine, stop bitching about it
Who cares, point is its not canon
Well, if you can name the last time an R rated scifi horror movie that wasn't Pitch Black that made number one and more than double its money back... the budget for this movie is pretty substantial and Fox wants asses in seats. AvP:R was a financial disaster by way of long term revenues, and that's the last product featuring the mythos. This isn't a gonzo horror film made for 5 hundred grand.
It has a substantial budget and PG-13 films draw about four times the crowds that R ones do. Not too hard to figure out. You should be happy they're considering an R/M-17 for home release at all.
I wonder if they would do a movie adaptation of this

It'll be hilarious
I have no idea why, but this creeps the hell out of me, that damn thing is absolutely enormous. I always find stuff like a titanic organism just out there, in the shadows really neat. Probably why I find stuff like sea monsters really neat.
I can't see shit on any of the pictures of the above posted.
