The highlighted circle is a giant chestburster, I'd say that it's easily several stories tall.

Isn't that a bit too big for a chestburster from a space jockey, considering that they tend to be smaller than the victim they burst from, and space jockeys seems to be only 4-5 meters tall.

I wonder if they would do a movie adaptation of this

    It'll be hilarious
It was a interesting read, Still I find it funny Superman expected both races to sit tight, Nope Predators started to attack Superman's robots since they had a good idea not to mess with Batman or the man himself, As far as I recall Superman still has that fucking ship full of creatures and Xenomorphs

Well, if you can name the last time an R rated scifi horror movie that wasn't Pitch Black that made number one and more than double its money back... the budget for this movie is pretty substantial and Fox wants asses in seats. AvP:R was a financial disaster by way of long term revenues, and that's the last product featuring the mythos. This isn't a gonzo horror film made for 5 hundred grand.

It has a substantial budget and PG-13 films draw about four times the crowds that R ones do. Not too hard to figure out. You should be happy they're considering an R/M-17 for home release at all.
You're right. It's just a damn shame that all it seems to be about these days is money. Money that goes towards peddling out more dogshit films.

Anyway, i'm done with this now.

Pretty sure it's already known that one of the characters is an android.

I don't know which one though, and I'm not sure if it's known to the rest of the crew in the movie or not.
I think that    Michael Fassbender's character    is an android, but I'm not sure.

Still, not being able to see this film in it's true glory at the cinema will suck balls.

How fucking dare they make this film a PG 13. The Alien series is HORROR in genre. If someone names one PG 13 ''horror'' that is any good then they can prove me wrong. The last PG 13 horror movie I watched was White Noise, guess what? It fucking sucked.
Lol, implying they wouldn't put the director's cut into theaters after it's release? The Alien Director's Cut was put into theaters for its thirtieth anniversary.

Could you provide a source? I did a reverse image search on that and found several sources saying that in the original script, they were originally meant to stumble upon the Space Jockey fossil outside the ship and that is what the image is, not the giant xenomorph fossil that burst out of its chest.

You can if you want, I'm sure it would be less of a wait than that.

Point is, stfu and quit complaining if the movie ends up PG-13 or not.

Nope. Adult Alien. The sources are Ridley Scott, H. R. Giger, Jon Sorensen and Brian Johnson. Ivor Powell wanted it removed because it foreshadowed what would happen directly, and also immediately pointed to direct issue with Ash. You're thinking of the Giger Triptych, which as we see from Giger's Alien, shows a jockey having been bursted which was blocked and lit but never filmed with movie cameras.

It couldn't really be anybody else could it? I mean Weyland-Yutani is the biggest corporation in the whole Alien universe it would make sense for them to be the ones sending out deep exploration teams.

So this is really an Aliens-related question, but whatever, this thread is close enough.

I decided recently that, between all the Metroid and Dead Space I've played, it's about damn time I got around to watching Alien and co. I grabbed a box set of Alien, Aliens, and Alien 3. Should I bother watching 3, or is it really that bad? And is Resurrection also a waste, or should I pick that up some time, too?

Definitely Alien and Aliens, Alien 3 divides fans so you should watch it anyways and decide for yourself, and it's a unanimous no on Resurrection.

Alien 3 takes a shit on the ending of Aliens which was rather annoying, so I always say stick with the first two. It's still a decent film though, unlike the fourth.

but never watch the AVP films. Saying it anyways even though you didn't ask.

It's artwork by H.R. Giger. He's the designer of the xenomorph, and he'll be working with Ridley Scott again on Prometheus.
