Even paying attention to Xam's last post tells you that the bridge is over the river north of Mars.

Slide down the tree and set off to the smoldering ruins of the bridge. Be sure to use brush and such to hide yourself should anything else be there. If there is nothing, look for a fallen tree and attempt to make a log canoe, or just bridge the river.

You should make the little blinkie in your avatar light up all the letters after it has gone down them all then loop again. It goes way to fast and I hate that ugly yellow color, but this is just one man's opinion.
