Why did my PNG image turn into a JPEG image when I saved it as PNG?
Why did my PNG image turn into a JPEG image when I saved it as PNG?
I made another one...
The pose makes it look a bit like the "X? I don't know what you're talking about!"
His left wing looks oddly placed, it doesn't seem to fit with how his body is aligned and in contrast to the other wing. The fire itself looks kinda hastily made, it should be a lot more intense where he breaths it and the pattern should be a bit more 'random' and not as controlled as it is right now.
The fire is really intense where it spouts out and becomes less intense the farther away it is, going after that effect here should work a lot better than what you've currently drawn.
Here's another good picture at fire. Notice how the fire seems to have no distinct shape, where it can be brighter up top and darker farther down? Fire doesn't always have a pattern, making it seem random and shifting. I think having it more shifting in colours, where it can be absolutely lit up near the point of the flame and dark near the middle could make the fire look a lot more organic.
Another thing that I think looks kinda odd is how the neck is shaped, how it's bent is pretty sharp and I'm not sure it works that well with how the rest of his body is bent. I think the way you've bent the neck would've worked perfectly if his body had been curved in a degree less than 90 degrees.
Remember, he has a spine (probably) and those can only bend so far before something breaks. :)
Overall the colouring on the dragon is excellent, I love all the smaller things (such as the scale on his head and back where the light reflects on him) and the mouth, those look extremely good.
Practicing on drawing arms and whatnot.
I think that thumb needs to be just a little bit sharper on the fist to the upper left, the hand on the right should probably be a little bit more defined with the shape of the arm and I think the thumb muscles on the lowest one should be shaped just a little bitt different. What picture did you use as a reference?
Ok here's a finished piece for you guys instead of just a continous stream of WIPs
Edit : A few buddies of mine mentioned how much it looked like something out of a gameboy-game so I whipped up this :
I didn't use a reference and the fist came out pretty crappy so i didn't bother with it.
You should use reference pictures in the future, you seem to have a fairly good grasp on anatomy and you'd become a lot better on that subject I think if you use reference pictures so that you can take a good look on what it looks like.
woah, all the forums got rearranged, took me long to re-find this one.
also now that the furry forum is gone... I guess that this is the place to put this?
1st row: characters that are done, it's the gallery
2nd row: see 1st
3rd row: production, this is where I take the time to actually start drawing the characters in a finished way, the ones presently there are WIP and you can see that they're at different stages.
4th row: colour references, this is for getting a quick access to the character's colours without actually having to open the images in a seperate window and take colours from them.
5th row: see 4th
I was drawing everybody down there's characters; I can and will be adding other human or robotic characters but this was also serving the purpose of getting me accepted into the community.
Thank Garry for adding 100% more anthro art to this thread because the current arrangement doesn't allow for seperate threads on the same subject. Expect more in the future. (gosh I'm going to have to actually take this furry stuff outside the designated area now?)
also progress on the robot is going good, I've added a huge mechanism to the front of the chest and it's got that part more detailed-looking.
I have a feeling you're going to get a lot of boxes for this art. Personally I like it, good art is good art is good art and it's obvious you are one of the finest artists on this forum and I'm glad this happened if it means you'll show off more of this.
I like that Whirr(something) and Tau, really good posing on them. I love the way you make the fur on Sergal, it's not advanced but simple is often best.
Not too sure on that shark and his pose, his left arm looks oddly placed in relation with the rest of the body. Make it more angled towards the viewer :)
What makes drawing an animal like a human furry anyway?
I thought 'furry' was people dressing up like animals to find sexual contact and that they do that because that way they won't be judged by appearance; or in short: insecure people finding a way to express themselves through 'cute' (CREEPY:gonk:) animal suits.
Or something like that.
Furry is anthropomorphic animal porn.
anyways, before I add more details to the legs here do you think that they're well posed? The feet seem wrong to me and I think that this is because they are too small.
The feet could be a bit larger, the pose itself is great though.
You are currently informed of the "public perspective and media coverage" part, the stereotype.
Pretty much a good community with a reason to make a badass character with a theme of animal, I mean, why not?
Figured i might as well post this here cause this kinda stuff will be overflowing into different sections due to Garry's emo-tastic f*ckup
this looks like an album cover
Its been quite a while since I drew anything but whatever. I don't care. Also, take note that the female is nowhere near finished. I'm perfectly aware of the errors in it. And anatomy can suck a horse cock.
Tried making an avatar based on gta:sa
wow, the arm is a bit straight
didn't even use line tool
FUCKING RAYGUNS OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE
Some shade study, of some nazi propaganda.
It's small, but goddamn I put a lot of effort into it.
There's like, a thousand different shades in there.
More shades doesn't always mean better shade.
You should work more on contrasts, the helmet is too bright and you should go for a smoother transition between the highlighted parts and the parts where there's no light.
It's not nazi propaganda by the way :ssh:
His chest doesn't look real at all, his hands are bigger than his head, if the bandana is any indication on how his head is like then he's got a gigantic jaw with probably the biggest underbite you could find on any human. He'd be in ogre/orc territory. The gun itself, it doesn't look like an AK47 but more like some piece of wood or something, the handle for the gun is placed in a really messed up angle and the gun itself is bent.
Got bored, so I drew a stick figure of me (sort of). Yeah, I'm shit compared to most people here, but eh I'm learning.
But ok since you seem to want someone to pat your back and suck your dick ;
Nooo you're really good, that is a really nice picture and I like it :3::3::3::3::3::3::3::3::3::3::3::3::3:
How about next time you post a picture you don't start with "I was bored" or telling us you were bored, stop saying "oh but I suck bla bla" because nobody fucking cares.
I have plans for yet another animation, still working out the skeleton on it though before I go and draw body.
And because I can ;
You're welcome, I really like the picture beside the things I mentioned. Yeah, having a good reference picture really makes a big difference.
Fucking Love Super Jail
with creepy smile
That's a pretty malformed smile if you look at the perspective and angle. Well made as always, sadly not fitting with the current picture.
That was kind of the point
There's something that just makes it look odd, I think the proportions are correct but I could be wrong. Anyone?
Ninjaedit : I fixed his shoulders so that they are closer to the body
(I plan on colouring it, just need to fix the body first so that it at least looks passable as a human being.)
He seems to be too short; roughly 6 heads tall, and his shins are just as wide as his head.
And, albeit it his skirt worn up high, his upper-body looks very short, as if his pelvis is up his abs.
Look at the size of his legs and where his knees are, his upper-body is too short in comparison with his lower-body.
To think of it, his size could be okay since Romans would be a bit shorter than the average adult nowadays, but his legs are still too big; unless you wanted him to go t-rex mode.
Oh no but you see it's all supposed to look like that and I didn't want your help anyways :smug:
You are right on him being pretty short, I thought I had gotten that one right but it seems I didnt. I can definiatly see what you mean with his upper body being short, I'll make his chest a bit taller.
Good call on the legs, now that you mention it they really are big and they definiatly need to be thinner. Thanks man :)
