You have people which protect you and you call them dicks?
It's ok that you're frustrated but that's no reason to slander those people, who weren't against you

    1. steam://validate/260 - and wait for Steam to fully download the GCF.

    2. Use GCF Scape to extract the cstrike_beta folder to the SourceMods folder (located in the SteamApps folder)

    3. In the cstrike_beta folder, open GameInfo.txt

Change the SteamAppID from 260 to 440 (Requires TF2!)

Find the steam.inf file, rename it steam_.inf

    Restart Steam.

Right click the new game in your Steam Library...

click properties. Set Launch Options, add in advanced Security Options: -insecure -secure

Does the lifetime stats tracking track from when you began playing on the computer it's currently installed on, or from the first day you purchased the game?

It was never about him being right or wrong, it's that he posted multiple useless threads to hype up something only for that something to be a rumor. That's what got people mad, because he hyped up a rumor. No one gives a shit if it's right or wrong, they care about the retarded hype that wasn't necessary because he could have said "css beta might come out soon" instead of "announcement maybe" - "big news can't tell you" - "announcement is a rumor lol".

Neither I assume, I think it'll be either when Valve started tracking stats for games (near end of 2007), or since the start of this beta.

    Technically it wasn't a rumor.

Zips only called it a rumor because he was rushed to post the announcement, and the official announcement hadn't been made yet. So in reality, the hype wasn't for a rumor. It was for this.

You guys are just getting blinded by rage.

No need for loads of programs to play the Beta, I just entered steam://validate/260, it got me the file, then Steam://install/260

    Worked fine.

FYI that is completely dependent on the mapper. The bomb explosion is driven by the map (triggers and outputs), not the bomb entitity.

That doesn't mean Valve can't change the maps to do that.

Download gcfscape and extract to the same folder with this order the files:
    1)source sounds,materials,models. 2)source 2007 shared sounds,models,materials. 3) multiplayer ob binaries. 4) counter-strike source beta.gcf.
After you did that search on google for revolution emulator (it's the first link cs.rin.ru)
extract rev.ini to the folder you extracted the files and steam.dll and steamclident.dll to the bin folder.
then copy the clientregistry.blob from the steam base directiry to the folder you extracted the gcfs.
Am I right in thinking you extract the Root of the GCF - I cant extract otherwise.

So did they fix the unnatural accuracy of firing full auto at a target from 3 feet away?

I know... I know, not supposed to hold it down, but come on.... 3 feet away

I don't see why they do the "Shove your way through and hopefully get the beta chance!".

Why not just select people that are still active from the first days of Steam?

Like me for example. 15th September, 2003. 2 days after Steam launched :argh:

I hate CSS, but I would play this new version just because it might make CSS fun again.
