Hey guys, I'm about to move into my own apartment and i'm looking for a new desk for my pc and later my girl friends. It needs to be big enough for 2 computers, and possibly a little bit more space for my sewing machine (but i may just get another desk for that).
i'm trying to keep it under 100 bucks, but those folding tables scare me to put 2 desktops on...
    anyone got any ideas?
the design of my room is kinda a mix between modern contemporary design and grungy punk... which actually works better than you'd think, i'll post pictures when i get set up.

It'd be really cool if i could find one that sets up against others so that i could have a curved L shaped one by linking them together. I'm working with a corner, one side longer than the other, can't really remember the exact demensions

    Edited:

nvm i think i'm going to ikea

I like the picture you took.

Also for some reason this thread alone doesn't update for me when there's new posts, does this happen to anybody else?

It's rather big. I'm happy with it, wouldn't mind a wider desk though, seeing how I really am pushing the very limits of it

So I'm in the market for a new desk because I'm buying parts for a build to have my own PC instead of being in the kitchen where the family computer is. Anyway I go to ikea's website and I found two desks that would go well together and fit nicely in my room, add to cart, calculate shipping.
    :wtc:

Where else can I get desks like this without the $350 shipping.

You could try looking on eBay for Ikea desks, or is there an Ikea store that it would be cheaper to travel to than pay the shipping costs?

Closest store is in Illinois, but I'll check eBay and see if there's anything cheaper than 400 dollars.

Same for me and I live near Syracuse. MY closest IEKA is in NY. Would driving 300 miles down and back or getting this shipped be cheaper?
