lets assume you're correct. in that case, because all the mineral used for manufacturing come from missions (how is this possible exactly? reprocessing loot?) this would mean that what miners mine just sits in the market and circulates continually without ever being used. this would mean that the price of minerals would decrease exponentially as time goes on. this is not the case. we constantly put more and more minerals into the market. and according to you, they aren't being used, so there would be massive quantities available, and the price would drop. but it doesn't. it fluctuates as would anything else.

It's almost summer and I will have more free time but I don't want to sacrifice the majority of it to an MMO. I don't want another time eater like WoW. Should I get into eve? It was released in 2003 and I'm afraid its dying; is this the case? I hear skills level while you're offline, in this case it shouldn't take too long to get to a viable level in one aspect like mining and then go from there, correct? How long would it take for me to get up and running? Is it even worth getting into?

I assure you, EVE is more lively than ever. We recently surpassed 60k players on a single server at the same time.

Well you are half right about the skills thing, but they do take quite a while. Plus side is you don't have to kill boars for the rest of your life to do it.

Might as well, it does take a long time to get really skilled though. I have been playing for over 2 years now and only have about 54m sp.

Played for a while, and so far it looks good. Also it took me about 15 minutes to realize that to log out you pressed esc.

I always just close the window to log out, the game seems to get the message.

argh im trying to login to my account from about a year ago where i had my trial on, i have the user and the pass but its asking for a character name which i cannot remember at all. oh another question, if i bought the game on steam could I use this code to upgrade the trial to a full game?

21-day Extended Trial > Sign up Immediately (It's $20) > Recieve 21+30 Days Subscription

Steam client is buggy and doesn't give you anything over standard.

And the Steam Client just makes accessing the test servers a real pain if you aren't familiar with how Steam operates in installing non-Steam games.
