Revive for mighty Odin
and Mighty Odin's son Thor gave you this
Made of Hate(previously Archeon) recently released this...
Speaking of Russian Roulette here is another band (different song just the same name):
I not exactly sure if this belongs here as most classify them as death/thrash and some classify them as Melo-death..oh well whatever floats your boat
That new Made of Hate song is sounding very good.
Not nearly as much CoB-worship as their previous album had. This is a good thing.
The second song was amazing. I think I'll be listening to more of Made of Hate.
COB seems to be doing good with their new stuff.
I'm pretty certain I've already posted Souldrainer, but I'll post them again anyways.
And another band that I don't think I've posted here yet:
Didn't know they were releasing a new album
Is it still like Blooddrunk style? have they released a teaser song or anything?
Saw this thread fell off first page again.
Decided to resurrect with more awesome melodeath.
MOTHERFUCKER GOD YES
Reviving thread with a great bump. Those melodeath GODS Insomnium released a new song. It's fantastic, and it's their first song to use high growls. Primarily still using his lows though. Growls have overall actually improved, they sound more polished than before.
I heard you wanted more awesome melodeath.
So I brought you some more awesome melodeath.
That Insomnium song is amazing
That Moredhel song is also awesome
how do you find all this gmod4ever
I need your Music library, gmod4ever.
I want all the music in this thread
I need all the music in this thread
Advanced search is amazing.
Though their quality is getting progressively worse. More and more rock and power metal has been showing up on it. Kind of disheartening, really.

Speaking of Advanced Search on the Encyclopaedia Metallum, I just searched for full-length melodic death albums and jumped to a random page (as I always do).
Just found these guys.
Check them out. The entire album is about the siege of Stalingrad.

If you wanna download the latest single
I love how the keyboardist is just standing there in his "I hate you all and I could think of a million places I'd rather be than here - including a coffin" pose.
That band as a whole needs to work on its stage performance. Everyone just stands still.
Also, a live video for an underground band that's good? And I mean both the band itself (they know what they're doing, and it's pretty good), and the video quality itself.
I like how the keyboardist does nothing for like 2 minutes and then starts windmilling
looked like the keyboardist fell asleep standing up and when he woke up he was like " oh crap better make it look like i do somthing " and then starts windmilling
Bifröst - Berserker
Bifröst - Ragnarök
Bifröst - Normannenzorn
Bifröst - Der Mönch
Thousand Leaves - Bullet Of Light (Jap band)
Thousand Leaves - DEAD NIGHT BLIND
The Arcane Order - Eruptions of Red
Revived By Mighty Odin?
Don't particularly want to scroll through the whole thread trying every video, so.
Could anyone recommend any Melodeath with similar vocals to Amon Amarth? I love how clear (at least, to me) they are.
Hey guys, while we're here, can anyone recommend any good melodic techdeath?
By good I mean their songs aren't mostly pointless shredding, obnoxious blast beats, stupidly fast tempos, extremely repetitive, or use sub-par vocals that feel like they were thrown in as an afterthought. (I'm looking at you, Arsis.)
The only good melodic techdeath that I have so far are Allegaeon, Divinity, Codeon, and questionably the Absence, all linked below, respectively.
Bonus points if they're groovy as all shit, like Allegaeon or Decapitated (not melodeath, but still groovy as fuck; at least Invisible Control is).
Basically, when I use the term techdeath, I mean relatively fast-paced and hectic, but with order and melody (hence "melodic"), and preferably using nontraditional structure in their songs or riffs (like Divinity). I suppose you could say I'm looking for melodic death/thrash, too, but, I consider that to be more like The Fading, which I still love, isn't what I'm really looking for at the moment.
Ok I not sure but can this bands do for you? (you probly heard from this bands before)
(posted this before)
I would post more but I'm in a rush..will get back later and also check out Blood Mason..I would post a link but I couldnt find their songs in youtube.
I've heard of Quo Vadis, in passing, but never gave them the listen because of their being labelled "technical death metal." I've had a multitude of ventures into that, which have always resulted in what I described above (Arsis ), so I've stayed away from that label unless its preceded by "melodic" or "progressive."
Just from the first 5 seconds of Silence Calls the Storm, I already like it. Currently at 1:30 and still listening. So far this is exactly what I want.
Yeah, this is great. Thanks, Swamplord.
