Official preview of my latest house track:
I've sent this to a record label so I'm pretty excited right now even though I know I probably won't stand a chance, tell me what you think!
The lead synth that comes in at 2:18 is a free VST plugin called Phutura, I was blown away by it.
Oh and the strings are from a free Fairlight CMIIx sample-pack for Kontakt which is totally awesome.
Well, if you feel they might think the track is too lengthy or boring, that could already be something you may want to change before sending out a track.
They might wonder why you only sent them a small section of the song.
Oh and, the track sounds pretty good :)
Not my genre, but it's well produced.
I don't know much about the genre, but personally I would have liked more timbres to come in as it went on.
The static is a tiiiny bit too loud, too, in my opinion. Slightly clihe too, I guess - You could try slowly modulating it with a filter, that could sound awesome.
im not sure how much i like the kick either, the high hat on top of it feels a little unnatural. good chords though, nice composition.
made a track in Reason,
can't export because it's the demo version :/
It's a very unique sound and I appreciate it.
oh yeah and everything on that song is perfect except maybe you could bring the lows/mids down a little bit on that wobbly synth that comes in toward the end
Starting back with Ableton again. Does anybody have any tutorials for basic stuff eg Tools, Commands etc.
I can never seem to make anything during the day no matter how much I tinker around with FL Studio, but as soon as like 1-2am hits, everything seems to piece together nicer and I end up with something half decent. It's really bizarre.
Just finished putting something together, going to listen to it in the morning after my ears get some rest to reveal which parts sound like shit.
probably because you don't give a shit at around 1-2am. you just work with whatever comes into your head
9 out of 10 tracks done on a free album! Being released August 14th at the latest...
