They're aswell more costly here in Canada too.
(Around 2-3x more.)
It's because of their legallity mostly and borders.

Most of the guns I've seen in Canada were 'custom-made' in the sense that the manufacturer had to create a semi-transparent receiver or frame in order to comply with Canadian laws.
I figured that's probably why they're so expensive here, along with the importing and such.
Yeah. My M14 after buying everything for it was like $800. Damn you Canada.
At least you can find an M14.
If I wanted anything besides an M4-pattern rifle or a Kalashnikov, I'd have to buy it from someone that bought their gun before the law was enforced.
Edited:
And some H&K series firearms. Not at all interested in them though.
Get age-verified on Airsoftcanada.com. Give you access to full black guns. I actually got someone to import the M14 for me. Luckily, theres a few guys that I airsoft with that are starting a film company so they will be able to get their permit to let them import guns.
That's a cool thing I guess xP
Ah right, I've been meaning to get age-verified. I completely forgot about that.
Hate to bump, but I need an unbiased opinion on this.

Would love to get that, maybe without as many patches, but I've heard mixed things about 'sovietarmystuff.com'.
Edited:
Also anyone know of where I can get some AKM/74 wooden furnishings? I remember a link to a website selling Kalashnikov-type rifle parts, but I can't remember the link.
Edited:
And possibly the 74 flashhider, if that is at all possible to find on it's own.
Their really overpriced. http://www.soviet-propaganda.com/ sells the same thing but without patches for half the price.
Edited:
K-VAR, but lately I've been hearing of them being frauds.
G&G makes AK-74 flash hiders.

Oh fuck yeah, thanks a lot. Is going to save me loads a money.
Hm, their website seems to be down as well.
http://k-var.com/
Any alternatives?
Edited:
Ah, awesome. The price seems a bit steep, but I'll probably end up buying it when I order my mags from there.
Edited:
Where should I grab a Kobra sight from? I googled, and I'm seeing a whole range of prices.
And finally, where would I find an M40/M60/M68 helmet for the best price?
cheaperthandirt.com
mainemilitary.com
ebairsoft.com
Edited:
Real ones go for a lot. Search it up on ebairsoft.com because they have a clone for ~ $80. There's also on on precisionairsoft.com for a bit more, but it's G&P so I would guarantee it being awesome.
Depending on the type of Russian loadout you're going for you can actually get away with a replica PASGT.
Yeah, I would recommend faking it with a OE Tech PASGT.

That looks perfect for what I need. The pistol grip seems a bit off, but I can work with it, and it doesn't matter much anyway.
I've got this helmet lying around as well:
Was planning to give it to a close friend for his loadout though.
Stain the wood darker then.
Yeah, I was planning to do that. I was thinking more about the lack of the grooves/grip on the pistol grip though.
Kinda like this one:
But I'm sure I've seen them without the grooves as well.
Send the helmet to me :buddy: I've been wanting one of those.
Don't be a cheapass. Get a real steel Kobra. It's worth it.
I REALLY REALLY like buying my Russian gear from this site, I bought my Tiger pattern jacket and pants from them as well as some patches and a flashlight. No problems what-so-ever. I hadn't seen it around the airsoft but it's pretty new it seems so I guess that makes sense. They have a contract with SPLAV at the moment and I believe they're also trying to get a contract with SPOSN. Great prices as well.
www.redsoldier.com
rubbin mah ass on yo leg
"Ohhh yeah that's it, right where it itches"
Whats the camo called that the guy with the binoculars is wearing?
Yeah the site is so hardcore... I mean look at those explosions. But no seriously, the site is great.
klmk
You don't know how much I'd love to, but I'm already a bit strapped for money for this "russian gear project".
Site looks pretty good, but I can't find the specific camo I'm looking for nor the helmet. I'll keep it in mind though, thanks.
I might order from there when I'm ready for my russian/stalker loadout.
Just learned of this site as well.
http://www.soviet-power.com/index.php
Seems legit and if so that is a pretty nice stock.
Site layout looks strikingly similar to 'sovietarmystuff.com'. But I guess it's just a generic soviet site template. :buddy:
They are run by a member of the Red Alliance. Their legit, and they have the best customer service ever.

How are those magazines? They seem really cheap, but I've heard pretty good things about MAG, especially for the price.
They are orgasmic. Pretty much the best AK mags on the market that you can buy for cheap.
Damn fast reply, and helpful as usual.
I think I've pretty much found everything I need, except for maybe a legit Russian chest rig/LBV, I've got a generic Bulle one that'll do though.
I like those, do want.
Hmm, maybe.
Although I'd love to get my hands on a 6B series vest, I don't think I'm willing to shell out that much money. I think I'll stick with my chest rig for now, and possibly get a modern-russian vest/chest rig later on.

One more question, which models of the Kalashnikovs had the ribbed upper receiver? I'm seeing the AK-74 and the AK-74M with both ribs and with the standard smooth reciever like the 47 model.
maybe it's some AKM
also 6b13 with molle
335 DOLLARS FUCK YES
AKMs started the trend, and it was followed by just about every model that came after it.
Ah, alright. Was somewhat worried I'd have to pay for another reciever.
Well, so far my shopping list for the gun comes to about $200, without the gun itself.
NATO stuff is dirt cheap because it's so conformist. Warsaw Pact gear are not popular items so you need to buy the real stuff.
