Their online store tends to suck. Hit or Miss.

I'm not even going to get into Airsplat.

Shady shipping, not always sending you the right item, just shady in general.

Oh, that reminds me. I wanted a TAR 21 from them. They had it, called and asked to make sure, they confirmed for me twice that they had it. They charged me, processed the package and sent it to their shipping center.

THEN they called me and told me they were out of stock on the TAR 21.

Can anyone recommend me some good full metal (or PMAG) M4 midcaps? Preferably at least 100 rounds, single mags or a small box set. VN style ones or regulars are fine. I was looking at these PMAGs: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=6580
Any good?

What's the purpose of a PEQ 2 box? And is it the only battery compartment on the weapon it comes with?

Pretty much a housing for the battery. Some actually function though. It's basically a laser sight/designator.

Kman- get a PEQ-15 with a LiPo if you are gonna keep a PEQ box, the 15 looks much better than the 2. Otherwise, I'd go for a new stock, crane or full, and get the gun wired to that.

RenegadeSanta- I've heard very good things about those, the only real downside is that they're feckin' expensive- for the cost of two of those you could have a box of MAG (considered some of the best magazines available) midcaps. That said, they are supposed to feed nicely. Don't get the Star Green label ones, if you want P-Mags, those are the way to go. Also, just saying, they're not full metal, they're polymer (which is the P in P-mag, btw)

Yeah, if it's a PMAG i don't care if it's polymer, that's the point. It's just that Magpul's polymer is generally stronger than ABS. I was thinking like 1 or 2 PMAGs and a couple metal MAGs. I already have 3 hicaps.

Answer his question. Until you answer this, NONE of us can help you. Do you want a good airsoft gun? Do you want an authentic airsoft gun or do you not mind if it breaks right away? Is it display, what, what? Tell us what you want exactly.

Oh, I agree, they look much nicer, but idk if that gun is worth the effort.

Display, I want it so it can FUNCTION (Aka I can pull the bolt back, take the mag out etc.
Metal or very hard plastic.

Sorry to disappoint but unless you buy one off of a friend or craigslist or something you can't get one for that cheap.

This is the cheapest decent one I know of you can get. But it is plastic and not wood or metal I believe.

If you wanted full metal and wood I'd pick between these two
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=4342 (Being mine and I love it.)
or
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=3887 (Having steel instead of "metal")
or
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=3691 (Being basically the same as the other CYMA cept no steel.)

Well, in that case you can find some pretty inexpensive ones. You don't really need our help in that case.

If you want something a bit higher end IE: Real Wood Grips and Steel etc. then you may need our help.

But honestly, Evike, Airsplat, Airsoft GI all sell AK's and all you have to do is find one under $60. If you're not going to actually use the gun for airsoft you don't really need much advice.

I'll tell you this regardless, you get what you pay for.

Also don't get put off by the price of a decent gun. If you get a decent gun you'll spend a lot less money down the road and believe it or not airsoft is a pretty cheap sport. I can play every weekend for $20 if I wanted to. The really only expensive bit is when you buy everything for a loadout or your gun.

Basically, you pay a slightly hefty amount at the start, and you're set for a while, except for BB's and entrance fees. Maybe the occasional spare part or repairs.

I used to paintball as well, and I still have my gun and 'loadout' for speedball. That's an expensive sport. My gun and gear was pretty cheap, but I had to constantly upgrade or repair my gun to keep up, since I started playing in tournaments.
Add the costs of $150+ worth of arena-specific paintballs at each tournament, and almost $80 for each regular skirmish, along with the atrocious entrance fees.

I'm not saying one is better than the other (one is), I enjoy them both somewhat equally, but I just put that up there for a frame of reference to how expensive similar sports are.

So as for my sniper thing I decided to go for an Echo 1 ASR. It's ugly as fuck but I tried it out at my local airsoft store, I love the feel of it (my main gun right now is an M4). Can anyone recommend me a good scope?

I honestly don't know why you'd go with the Echo 1 ASR. Lots of better platforms than the ASR for that price.

Also, doesn't it use the same hop-up as that shitty Well L96?

The only recommendation I got was the BAR-10, which is out of stock EVERYWHERE. If someone could recommend me a good AWM/L96 that would be my preferred gun, but a VSR-10/M24 clone is fine too. Sorry, I have lots of experience with AEGs but I'm just getting into sniping.

If you are going to snipe, dont skimp. Sniping is one of the most expensive things you can do in airsoft. Cheap sniper rifles tend to be completely useless. Its cheaper and more practical just to go with an AEG and use sniper tactic if you want to do it cheaply.

The BAR-10 is terrible stock. The main reason it gets recommended is because it accepts TM VSR-10 upgrade parts, which are awesome.

You need to spend a good deal of money and time doing upgrades to get any significant advantage over someone using an AEG.

So basically hold out on sniping for now? Because I can kind of snipe with my M4, I figured out I was pretty good at it so yeah. Oh and what about the DE/TSD shotguns? I'm trying to fan out a shit ton right now because I just got a job and am just waiting for enough money at this point to get A: A good sniper, probably a TM VSR-10, and B: A nice shotgun of some kind. I have like $170 right now for airsoft.

I hear most of the L96-pattern rifles have a problem with the bolt locking up when used incorrectly. I think Tim from AGI had a video about it.

Only thing I can suggest is a VSR-10 or a clone, but as you say, they do seem to be mostly out of stock. I've got a site that's in stock, but they ship exclusively to Canada.
I hear the TSD M700 is decent for it's price, but does require modding to fit some upgrading parts. I'd wait for someone else's more experienced opinion rather than taking mine though.

If this is your first gun, don't get a dedicated sniper rifle. Go instead for a DMR-sort of rifle, like a full length M16 with decent optics or something.

Edited:

Anyone have a first hand experience with using an EOTech and magnifier? I'd like to get something like this with an M14 for a SDM-role, but the EOTech+Magnifier combo seems really rare, probably for a good reason.

Damn and I discovered my sn1p3r sk1illz just after I sold my M16 too. How about an M14? I love the look of them, I was thinking maybe a SOC16 type one, with a barrel extension? Also for the TSD/DE shotguns, where is the M1014 ones' cocking handle? On the side?

Heard nothing but good things about the G&G M14, although it is a bit expensive.

I'd buy it, if I lived in the US.

Although I can't say personally how good this particular M14 is, I know G&G, and their shit is always top-quality.

Does ANYONE know ANYWHERE I can get a new KSC/KWA Glock? I know they're discontinued and all, but any help on this is appreciated. I'd prefer the 18, but any other is OK.

Edit: Kawaii: Really? it doesn't seem like there's room for it to move.

Look around on classified ads on forums and crags list for the glock. Not too hard to find. Decide what you want bro.

Hm. Never seen the handguard pulled back like that. Wondering if it's just the airsoft models, since I was almost sure that you had to cycle it using the charging handle.
