rogue or scoot
rogue or scoot
No true preference but I'm usually a knight or warrior.
Force recon ships for eve, red mage and beastmaster for ffxi.
One class MMO's suck
Anything Magic based.
Herald of Xotli was the best class ever created.
Shaman tanks have been around since Pre-BC. Mages have tanked that one guy in Gruul's lair, forgot the name. Warlocks have tanked Illidan, rogues have tanked before with evasion, etc.
Crafting classes, provided that they can hold their own in combat without losing crafting ability or other gimmicks like doing shit damage unless they use a skill that costs money with each use.
Otherwise, Agility/Strength based melee or a Ranged, non magic class.
Have you even played World of Warcraft?
Oh and another thing, why would diversity in what a class can do be bad?
I'm pretty sure he's talking about the roll they can play decently.
I like Pet classes, Debuffers, and melee DPSers.
I enjoy playing as Tanks Or DPS classes
Hasty interjection: Usually obscure or underpowered classes. Its quite fun, as humans say it "pwning noobs", using technogically superior equipment as well as skills to finish off someone who "power plays"
Quick Edit: In the case that all classes are balanced: I usually tend to be a supportive class such as a medic. But in the case of lone wolfing, I will gladly choose a ranged class.
Caster. Something with magic. I'm the born cloth wearing pansy with destructive magic abilities that allow me to run away and cast at a distance.. :P
That doesn't make mages tanks or warlocks tanks. It makes them a class that can tank that 1 boss... lol.
Warriors, paladins, dk's and druids are the only tank classes. Priest, druid, paladin and shaman are the only classes that can heal.
Okay, a dk can selfheal alot, that doesnt make him a healer. Warlocks can get bandage .. doesn't make them a healer.
There was one rogue who thru talents/gems/raid setup hit the dodge cap and managed to tank a few bosses, and it was hotfixed.
The shaman class was supposed to be the hordes version of paladin, and yes it had tanking talents way back, but it hasn't been viable or even an option for years.
Ranger/Hunter/Archer or a Rogue/Assassin
Healer / Support Classes.
Occasionally I'll play a long-range damage class, though. (Ranger, Mage)
Recons, snipers, stealth dudes
Don't know if you've ever seen a pair of mesmers fight... not a whole lot happens, and then one guy dies. Takes about 5 seconds. There is no opponent scarier than another mesmer.... save a necro with his "entourage". But yeah, I love playing mesmer, really gets the "duel of wits" thing going on.
Druid healer for sure, healing teamates and forming into animals :smug:
Rangers. I like to hit from a distance
If not them then Assassins/Rogues/Stealthy classes. I like to be able to choose when and where to attack in PvP games, and when I decide when and where, make sure I hit hard and fast
Dervish(Guild Wars). Now only if Guild Wars 2 had Dervishes :(
Wizards/the squishy ranged DPSer, the pet class, or a sneaky class like rogue or assassin.
Tank, Melee DPS, class that can craft shit, and Ranged classes because they are easy to use most of the time.
Also, range classes.
Death Knight/Necromancer-like summoning classes. Having an army of undead makes you feel badass. Death magic is fun also.
Rokh Battleship in EVE Online
Drake in EVE Online.
Otherwise im the thief/rogue/assasin etc.
WoW - Hunter / Rogue
MapleStory - Aran / Blaze Wizard
Warhammer Online - Chosen
Any class that have pets.
I roll thief when I die for the first time as warrior
adapted from Baldur's Gate.
Any sort of non-magic ranged character. Like an Archer.
Summoner class :v
Whatever can Tank. Tanking is good.
