That's mostly california.A vast majority of people who vote gun control laws into place, or those who support gun control get their ideas from the movies.
They think that by magically adding plastic to guns automatically turns them into some sort of ultra killing machine.
They think by adding less restrictions, or allowing for citizens to conceal carry will turn the US into a warzone.
Each time someone says this and the law passes - where are these people three or four years down the road? They hide and do not mention a single thing when they are proven wrong.
The amount of sheer ignorance is always funny. When it comes to firearms - the uninformed and pro-gun control types spew so much false information and stupid claims in an effort to stir fear. They have absolutely no gun knowledge, nor do they have any gun law knowledge. It's hilarious to see these debates anywhere. In person. On forums. The amount of ignorance out there is comical.
I often post this video, and I'm going to post it again.

I can't believe you guys still believe in the Second Amendment, that stupid shit was written more than 200 years ago.
Sure guns were needed back then because life was rude, but we are in 2010 wake the hell up USA guns are more dangerous than they are useful.

I'm for common sense gun control. I've actually argued for guns probably 30 times on this forum, so you guys must have missed all my posts. I don't see anything wrong with a responsible adult who has no legal disqualifications owning a gun. If they have kids then they should secure their gun, etc. I have a pistol right now and will probably start a collection when I move out.

Using a gun to stop a intruder does not mean you shot it. Just showing a gun is considered using it. Now if you shoot the intruder 6 times in the back, you're going to jail.

Having cousins in the US doesn't mean you know things about the laws of the country. I have distant relatives in South Africa. I don't know a damn thing about SA.

JDK is pro-gun and Warhol isn't necessarily anti-gun I don't think.

This will probably be the only issue that I agree with you on. Also, I might be joining the army. I'm not a raging hippie or whatever else you think. I can't say I support the US military on a lot of things though.

It won't be for a while. I have to get my degree first. If not the army, then probably a criminologist or something related to it.
