    and it runs like shit
I've seen it in-action on a friends iPhone 3G, and it runs flawlessly. A little buggy, yes, but that's only if you forget a driver or two.

He played music on it while we were playing L4D for like 7 hours straight and it lost 5% or so.

My G1 (dubbed G-NEXUS-1 due to it running a nexus one rom) is so bad ass, and a hellova lot faster, I don't understand why HTC didn't impliment multitouch to begin with. Odd.

I believe it was something to do with Apple not wanting them to, because it would cause a patent war with a company Apple didn't yet have a deal with.

You probably didn't brick it then, you probably got it in a bootloop. True bricking is near-impossible to reverse. Flashing a ROM will NEVER brick your phone.

Disconnecting the power source while you're flashing a Radio or SPL.

What do you mean lose your phone number? Pretty sure that even on CDMA you won't "lose" your number if you wipe.

Also Jimbojib whats your Steam ID

If you sync your contacts with your google account then they should be backed up.

I'm still waiting for an OTA 2.2 update for my Droid. I heard people had problems with the manual one so for now I'm waiting. Way back when the Droid came out I was told by many sources that Flashplayer would be added by the end of the year. It sure took them quite a while. And still no animated GIF support, my DSi can watch animated GIFs, why can't the Droid?

I'm mad that there is no tethering. First I hear the Droid and Nexus One could do free tethering if Verizon allowed it because they are both google phones. The worst I assumed could happen was a 1/2 year contract to tether. Now I can't do it at all.

    I want a source, a valid one.

A lot of Droid have already gotten Froyo, it's supposed to be going out right now. If they canceled it, it would've been yesterday or today.

So we're still getting Froyo, just a fixed version next week?

If I update to Froyo manually, will it void my warranty? Will it update to the fixed version once it comes out? And will it keep everything the same such as my icons, wallpaper, will it make me reactivate it?

Installed a nightly build of CM6 on my G1, and it seems much faster than RC2 was. I can hit the home button, and the home screen is responsive right away. Before I had to wait 5 seconds for it to start responding.

Buy easyroot from their website then you can unroot after getting 2.2 to unvoid it.

I'm pretty sure it will update to the knew one coming out, I don't know about your apps as I've only been into Android for like 3 months.

Installing an official update manually shouldn't void your warranty, if the OTA update and manual update are the same, they wouldn't be able to tell. Also, if they send out the update to all droid users, you should get that upgrade, as long as you didn't flash a rom that disables receiving OTA updates.

It might get rid of everything, not positive on that, but to be sure sync your contacts to your google account so you don't lose them

I used the manual 2.2 update and everything of mine was kept the same. The only difference was that now I was able to do everything that 2.2 added and enabled.
