How about the 2 hours of battery life?
My G1 (dubbed G-NEXUS-1 due to it running a nexus one rom) is so bad ass, and a hellova lot faster, I don't understand why HTC didn't impliment multitouch to begin with. Odd.
You probably didn't brick it then, you probably got it in a bootloop. True bricking is near-impossible to reverse. Flashing a ROM will NEVER brick your phone.Jimbojib posted:
I'm still waiting for an OTA 2.2 update for my Droid. I heard people had problems with the manual one so for now I'm waiting. Way back when the Droid came out I was told by many sources that Flashplayer would be added by the end of the year. It sure took them quite a while. And still no animated GIF support, my DSi can watch animated GIFs, why can't the Droid?
I'm mad that there is no tethering. First I hear the Droid and Nexus One could do free tethering if Verizon allowed it because they are both google phones. The worst I assumed could happen was a 1/2 year contract to tether. Now I can't do it at all.
I don't think I can root my Hero... I'm on 3 UK and for some reason the downgrader won't work.
Any ideas on why it failed?
At least you're not stuck on 1.5.
Ok but don't get pissy when I say I told ya so.
So we're still getting Froyo, just a fixed version next week?
If I update to Froyo manually, will it void my warranty? Will it update to the fixed version once it comes out? And will it keep everything the same such as my icons, wallpaper, will it make me reactivate it?
Installed a nightly build of CM6 on my G1, and it seems much faster than RC2 was. I can hit the home button, and the home screen is responsive right away. Before I had to wait 5 seconds for it to start responding.
It might get rid of everything, not positive on that, but to be sure sync your contacts to your google account so you don't lose them
So far I am loving this Froyo ROM, any ideas on a diff rom or just shit to do with a rooted phone?
