Suppressors aren't supposed to completely silence the weapon - nothing can, if you don't want it to last three rounds. It's more meant to suppress flash and conceal your shots so the enemy doesn't know exactly where it's coming from.

It's a .22 so it's not a lot of kick. The way the dude showed me was by using your index to pull the "trigger" and your thumb and middle to hold the grip. Use the other hand to cock the hammer in a timely manner.
