It's either the Spanish future soldier program, or a pog who went outside the wire for the first time.

That lever-action would actually be kinda good if it had a normal stock.

I find it amusing that the response to that lever-action here is 'no' while the reaction on a couple of gun blogs is 'a little tactical but reasonably practical'. It has an adjustable stock for comfort, and the rails allow useful accessories to be installed- like a flashlight, handy if this is a weapon you're using for defense out in the woods. Otherwise it's a standard gun, I don't see what's so bad about that.

The flash hider and stock on it are perfectly functional. The point of a gun is not to look pretty.

Why would you even get a lever action when you can get a semi auto gun.
Unless you live in some state where semi auto rifles aren't legal (yeah right) then I don't really see the point of it.

    Edited:

If you don't want a pretty gun why would you even look at a lever action in the first place?

Simpler mechanism, no reliance on magazines, more accurate. But the biggest reason is that it's fun and different. A lever-action can be fun to have without it needing to look like it came from the 19th century.

    I hate it.

They could've done just fine with just a regular synthetic stock.

And if you don't want your gun to look like it's from the 19th century, don't buy one that was designed in the 1860s

    Edited:

It's also really not that accurate, especially compared to modern rifles. And the mechanism is really that simple or reliable.

Well no but you can atleast be a bit subtle about it, think solid polymer stock 870 esque instead of taking a lever action and smashing a new gen M4 into it.

There's no real reason to do it, if you wanted practicality, you'd step up to something more modern in the first place rather than spending all the dosh turning it into that

    Plus, that just looks horrible
I mean the least they could've done is keep it somewhat classy

If I was buying a gun for the "fun factor", I'd actually prefer it to be somewhat impractical but sexy as fuck

For a second there I thought that was some sort of pneumatic air cannon or spud launcher. The magazine-fed spud launcher I made in 5th grade for a science fair looked pretty similar to that.

I like certain competition rifles. Some look great while others make you question why they hell they put such an awful color scheme on the gun. If there were target shooting events for airsoft around here I'd probably start designing my own and having it plated or anodized in pretty colors.
