Just got an E-mail from my boss telling me I cannot provide my own service annymore to clients.

I ask 25€ for virus removal (have to bring the pc to the store) and 50€ for delivery and instalation of a PC/Laptop.
We just got a deal with a company (service planet) who asks a whopping 99€'s! to remove a virus and 79 for instalation and im cutting into their profits.

We are getting more like Best-buy everyday!

This. If you have enough customers, and you can live off what you charge, go for it. Offer better service and a friendly smile on top.

My dad wanted to buy 6 GB RAM along with a 32-bit OS. I told him that 32-bit doesn't support 6 GB RAM and he asked me "but 64-bit is twice as expensive, isn't it?"

Yeah a lot of software runs on it... have you even tried it before? Some games need you to bypass the OS check in installation but not many.

    This is sorta illiteracy.

So there's this kid who frequents my gmod servers, and his spray is a picture of the insides of his computer. 3 Observations. 1. He has a sata cable linking to his optical drive. Nothing wrong with that, right? Well guess what he has on his main HDD. A fucking IDE cable. 2nd, he has a shitty stock AMD cooler (why take a picture thats meant to boost your epeen with something like that?), and 3rd, his HDD is leaning on his GPU... I dunno how they haven't fried each other yet.
Get this, I asked him about it and he says he doesn't care. And he plays MW2/TF2/GMod on it. What. The. Fuck?

On my old build, I had bought a new DVD drive that was SATA, because my old one broke; I still used my old IDE HDD for a long time, though.

My friend (AKA that one dude I hate but he lives in the same town as me.) was convinced he knew more about computers than me. I asked him if he could give me the use of one word that was related to computers. The word I said was "modem". He was drawing a big blank. Which proves he's an idiot because just earlier in English class an example sentence explained what a modem did.

    1. Nothing wrong with that, it should be rounded since I'm OCD, whatever
    2. Stock AMD coolers are great, mine has kept my phenom II x3 at 20c when idle, and 37c on load, oc'd from 2.8 to 3.4
    3. that sounds bad, i wouldn't be so worried as his gpu overheating, rather his pci-e connector breaking off
