    So if I want to upgrade from ios 4 to ios 5 and I want to jailbreak it using redsn0w, will all the contacts, pictures etc be lost when I do the jailbreak with redsn0w?

    All of your apps will dissappear but you do get to keep your notes, photos and contacts etc.

    How? Won't you have to do a full restore? I thought that would delete your contacts and stuff
