    It's only a placeholder since I didn't make any models for the drones yet. Only for the satelite.
    And for the massive drone army on the picture, that is only an admin, who can do that ;P There's a limit ofcourse.
    Yeah i did read up was just pointing it out is all ;p
    All these graphics are awesome and everything but, just remember to later on make one without them as good so people with lower-end computers can still play.

    But aside from that, mind if I put to you a Lua question? How are you controlling steering? I can get a model to go in a certain direction by finding what you're looking at, but I'm not entirely sure how you'd get that to work with PhysicsSimulate() and model turning.

    I've tried Sunrises method, but they had custom code that I couldn't quite hunt down that controlled steering. Any advisory on this?

    Concerning that paw...hmmm...what feature could you link to it? Depends on what you have planned and already written up, to be honest. Could be anything from manual turret control to private comms with another player to jumping around the map using a computer and map.

    To answer your first question. There is a physics function called PhysObj:ComputeShadowControl().

    Use different symbol, doesn't seem to fit the theme of the gamemode if you ask me. But that's just my opinion.

    Not my image. But sexy none the less.

    No. I am sticking to the Sunrise controls, as alot of people are used to it.

    Options is already on the tab to the left.
    Speaking of tabs. I finished the browser. You can easily access the browser through one of the buttons on the tab to the left!

    Yeap. Actually, it wasn't made of SVN updates. It was made on a local folder with updates from several people, that I or Jagger manually put up. We use Dropbox when we update stuff.

    EDIT:

    It's my birthday today and in one of my presents... I found a CHOCOLATE PHONE!!
    Happy Birthday mate! (i think this is kinda late but not this time!)

    The maps can provide up to 4 solar systems each. ;P
    The jumpgates will only allow players to jump between those solar systems. Incase I have more servers, I will just put up some more that leads to the other servers.

    That's because the FPS are low when I record videos. Nothing important to fix.

    The slow fade actually looks pretty good, to be honest. Not that quick *popin popout* of the Sandbox scoreboard.

    Also, I'm shocked at just how fast that browser connects, that's fucking amazing. Half a second and you're on Youtube. Any other features you plan on creating before live play is announced?

    OH, have you addressed the situation regarding that you have to mine a shit ton before you can do any actual fighting? Missions, easy pirates, such and such? What's the development on gameplay?

    Theres a small chance I will be able to get a public server up.... at christmas. Alot of the system functions that is required for the actual gameplay is already in place. I just need a few more and then use em all together and wualla, Games up 'n running.

    Next up is finishing the planet colonization feature.

    There is another option for making money... Trading. The gamemode features an economy system between planets and stations where as the prices are different. Ofcourse the price of an item vary around the actual value of an item.
    Lets say, a mining laser has a value of $100. A station is selling it for $68 and you find another station that buys it for $148, equals profit!

    The mining feature will be tweaked a little on this gamemode. Unlike all the other Sunrises and Devinity. It will have a few things you have to keep an eye on. Mining lasers may get broken on the process or your mining depository is full. A mining depository is a mobile station that an organization can position around an asteroid field and assign mining drones to it. The drones will automaticly mine after the desired choice of mineral. If that does not exist around the asteroid field, they will dock the depository and await for futher instructions from the owner of the mining depository.

    About the mining lasers getting broken, every laser will loose its efficiency after awhile. That is why you must repair it so there is something you have to pay for mining. Stronger lasers lasts longer and I will also add in a display about how much minerals there is on an asteroid (Unsure about this feature).

    To add up on the things here, the stations and planets offers less for an item if they have a shit load of em. Do mind that!

    I had my ship model compiled for awhile. I have been a little to lazy to post it. The only problem right now is the size and the textures. They still use the old textures from the first Sunrise game, but only 2 of them. I am pretty terrible at making textures so if you want, you could send me a couple and I can reskin this and scale it to the proper size.

    Prehaps a skill that allows you to know how much ore they have remaining?

    The higher the skill level the more accurate the results are.
