Gonna try to salvage the HDD from the old server and get some classic graphics back, and i'm adding better functionality to the client.
    Should be done this weekend.

Why not use the computational power of all those devices to do something sciency in a massively distributed fashion?
Like, I dunno, simulating protein folding?

Also, don't forget Geel's horrific version, where the password was stored in plain text, publicly accessible to anyone... And yes, he used the same password for his Steam account.

The links that lead to the profile of the person who poked you is misspelled. It links to "profle.php".

Can you change the tab order of the client welcome/login screen to

user name → password → login

in the next version? It would work better with my password manager

the coding for that is unnecessarily complicated, it at least focuses on the username box in the next version

Server should work again, rewrote most of the backend stuff.
There's a lot of pages left to do but the core game works again.

It lives again, now this time at http://unifrog.braxnet.org/ !
Much improved client, with connection detection and fixed images.

Still in java though, which is a shame.

The movie was better than the game honestly, doing an adaptation like this is difficult, but i think you pulled it off pretty well.

I wrote my own CLI client for Unifrog, will work on anything that can run Python. The image shows it running on Windows, and Bash using Cygwin. Also shows the error handling that I implemented. Items are shown in the top right, with bold ones being equipped.

Download from here. Requires Requests to be installed, and details about Curses can be found in the file.

unifrog refuses to die, almost 6 years down the line at this point.
