I did like the Captain America film, if only for the Captain himself. The film was rather lacklustre, more of a slideshow of war than a Marvel film.

Went to see this on Wednesday, absolutely awesome I want Avengers 2 right now!
After watching it I decided to watch the other Marvel Studios movies because I hadn't seen them yet and watching Avengers made me think why have I not seen them.

Watched Thor and Captain America so far, both I thought were great, I loved Thor because I love the character and more than anything I have a big interest in Norse Mythology. And I really liked Captain America too it was a unique pace for a superhero movie, I liked the setting and story. It was nice to see the links between those films and the Avengers too and get a little backstory. Need to watch the Hulk and Iron Man films now.

I'd say you should watch IR1 right about now, considering it's the best of the Marvel movies.

This was a fun film to watch. Shame I walked out for the toilet right before the Hulk & Loki scene which was hilarious apparently.

After watching this last week I felt that I had to watch the few pre-Avengers movies that I missed to fill in the gaps (I missed Thor and Captain America).
I have to say after watching both of them it has really changed my opinion on the happenings in Avengers, especially what I think about Loki.
The Avengers makes him out to be a complete mad cunt but he is so much more compelling of a character after seeing Thor.

I really enjoyed Avengers. I watched almost all of the previous movies in the last 3 weeks, so they were all fresh in my mind.
I want to go back and see it again, because we didn't expect so many people to be there and ended up having to sit in the front, craning our necks to look at the screen. It was very disorienting at times, especially with the 3d.
I gotta see it from a decent angle, and preferably in 2d. The 3d was really well-done, though.

I've seen all the recent Marvel movies except for the latest Hulk film. Should I bother watching that today before I see the Avengers this weekend?

Out of the Avengers origin films my favorites would have to be Captain America then Thor. The main thing I liked about Iron Man 2 was the way they starting bridging it to the Avengers. Looking back it seems maybe the Avengers writing and planning started to take off, and they realized Iron Man(possibly Hulk, never seen it) didn't really lead into the Avengers.
Iron Man was the first one to link into Avengers. After the credits Nick Fury asks Tony Stark to join The Avengers. The whole film has Agent Carlson following him around like a lapdog and then reveals he's from Shield. It was Carlsons first appearance before Iron Man 2 and Thor.

Iron Man links into the Avengers way more than Cap and Thor.

Also Hulk has a scene after the credits with Stark.

Hulk was largely missable in my opinion as Hulk was hugely under powered and Norton did Banner all wrong in my mind. It was okay, better than Iron Man 2 which I really don't like but it seems somewhat popular here.

In my opinion Iron Man 1 is the best of the bunch. Apart from Avengers.

I quite enjoyed Nortons Hulk, even if the film itself was pretty meh, his Banner wasn't the useless nerd he's so often made out to be.

    Came back from it, tonight.

I came to the following conclusion
Hulk is the King of Not Giving A Fuck
Loki: I AM A GOD, AND SHOULD NOT LOWER MYSELF T-"
Hulk then beats the shit out of him

Easily one of the best movies I've seen in a while.

Industrial Light & Magic relied on Ruffalo's performance in animating the Hulk, down to the pores of his skin and gray temples.

Mark Ruffalo got inspiration from the original Incredible Hulk TV series and his 10-year-old son as a force of nature with regard to temper tantrums.

ILM used a new procedural shading program that provided the the designers greater control of skin qualities.

This was Weta Digital's first crack at Iron Man and they redid the ILM textures using the proprietary Udim.

My heart goes out for your loss. It was amazing!

I also had to pee, but I went about halfway through Black Widow and Hawkeye's conversation about how they "were never trained for this", and was gone about 2 minutes, so I don't think I missed that much.

Also with the success of the Hulk in the movie, they're signed on to make another Hulk film. But news was just released that Ruffalo just signed on for 6 movies as the Hulk. So he must have some cameo's in the next few Marvel movies.
