It's a good thing I botted for you overnight to hit 67.
k, made an Aran on there to test it out(never played Aran)
tbh it's different then I thought it would be, didn't know he went on a combo system
There is a new hack for Wild Hunters that allows you to send a packet to the server containing any monster ID and spawn it with the capture skill.
This is the result:

Basically bosses can be spawned anywhere. (and if they spawn a Pink Bean the entire map gets a +35 wep attack buff)

I got lvl 63 today. I started on xmas
Alright. I'm a battle mage and I'm lvl57 or somewhere around that and I'm running out of ideas on where to grind. Any suggestions? (no, I'm not going to those damn scarecrows)
>.>
about how many hours did that take?
Oh my god.
If that happened on WoW or some other big name MMO.
Shiit.
People be hangin' with fucking deathwing and shit.
Currently attempting to start again on GMS, using some AOL Desktop shit to register and play.
Supposedly it works but eh.
I wonder if having someone from America make an account for me would work.
Probably like 5 hours a day
I got to that level in the same time frame
I played on a private server once that spawned three of those gigantic fire bosses in the human city.
I played 8 hours each day.
I have no life.
Plus I'm a fire poison wizard
Level 88 Crusader not ashamed!
Hit me up in Arcania, the NEWEST server, you still got time to get bandana (hit level 70 by January 11, 2011 and get an insane, untradeable equip)
IGN: Weesnaaw
Obscene amounts of drops, two potential items in a half hour, leveling up twice...
WHAT THE HELL THIS IS NOT MAPLE STORY.
Oh wait.
horribly OP jobs...
Yep it's maplestory alright.
Just wait until you see how stupidly overpowered Mechanics are going to be.
I played MS for a few weeks a few years ago then got bored from all the grinding. Is it true that it doesn't take a ridiculous amount of time to level anymore?
Yes.
Levelled up three times at lunar pixies.
Still havent found a lvl 50 thief dagger.
If anyone has it (with potential, please) then I would like to buy it off you.
I'm in Scania, name's Dalteus.
Well, it just finished installing. I think I'll play in Scania again.
I just downloaded the game myself. How do you guys like it? I'm currently contemplating which server to play on so I can play with you guys :)
oh god flashbacks
i think i'll play again
playing this every now and then for the past 5 years. Everytime something new comes I MUST try it.
Now kinda waiting till big bang comes to eMS so I can make a godly Mechanic, gonna play with one in gMS first tho.
Not sure if I want to play a Mechanic for its overpoweredness or a crossbowman because there aren't many of them and it'd be a niche.
Oh wait, Mechanic isn't unlocked yet. Well, I'll be an Xbowman for now. What server should I play?
Scania.
Nope, demethos.
Every Scania channel seems packed though.
Dude, I just started playing the game again. My new hunter got level 22 in just one day. Hell, a year before this my Aran got lvl 30 in less than 24 hours, but only due to massive boredom and grinding on my part. I've been off and on playing my hunter and hes lvl 22. There is a HUGE difference in exp.
they made the game easier to level up?
The Fuck
when i was 10 it used to take weeks to get to 20
Windia/Glacia/Zenith/Broa/Bellocan
All servers I've been to without a huge cesspool of idiots
Bellocan has a huge cesspool of idiots who like to use smegas just to annoy people. Happens about once a week at late night. Other than that though, it's a half-decent population.
I've gotten to Level 101, and leveling is now almost impossible again. Shame, I really want the 4th job for Wild Hunter. Playing on Arcania.
So i started playing.
This is too addictive :crying:
Tell me about it, playing off and on since beta.
level 17
Those bubble things were hard, fucking hell there were so many :crying:
Play in Zenith!
Advice for newcomers or old veterans:
If you're making a new character it's highly advisable to play in a relatively unpopulated world, due to less lag, cheaper items, more available training areas, etc.
Try Zenith, El Nido, Arcania, Kradia, Yellonde...

-Playing as bandit, dual blade, wild hunter, crossbowman is not advised; equips are super expensive, due to insane influx of dual blades and wild hunters. Assassins are also extremely expensive due to the fact that they have to buy stars and expensive equips. On the other hand, the cheapest classes continue to be Pages due to their low population and unique weapon (Blunt Weapon) and now Rangers/Wind Archers, due to their decreasing population. And of course mages, but who wants to be a mage?
-If you want high damage and you are unfunded, then easy ways to achieve this are to choose the Cygnus Knight Dawn Warrior (or any Cygnus Knight, all of them get an AP bonus) or resistance Battle Mage, both of which have infamously high base damage.
-For every character that's at least level 50, there's a good 20-25 mill that can be earned by doing certain quests that give scrolls, see:
http://www.basilmarket.com/MapleStor...Money-199.html
-Be careful of the FM, don't sell items to merchants, sell items to people who actually need them and who aren't going to sell them again to make a profit off of you. To ascertain the value of an item, try to search for it in the FM rooms. Remember that store prices are going to be inflated and that you can probably sell for 60%-75% of store price in the FM entrance.
-Don't spend mesos on equips until you're around level 40, when you'll need the damage for Carnival PQ. Reason being is that from 1-30 you don't really need equips, seeing as you'll be doing KPQ till 30 and the Mushroom Kingdom questline till 35, in which you can obtain special 35 armor by defeating the colored Yeti Bosses near the final stages of the questline.

In Korea the Chaos update(PvP) is out in the testing servers.
Info found on this blog(Can't find the exact link atm): http://spadow.wordpress.com/
Tommorow I'll start playing this game again after I do some research. Should I go Paladin or Hero? Not going to be funded by another char at all and both are good at solo boss running, which is what I want.
Edited:
Seems like Chaos update adds proficiencies, such as mining and herbalism. Maybe due to Runescape popularity?
I'd personally say Hero. Heroes got more oriented towards being bossers with Big Bang. They're one of the few classes that can ignore monster defense, and Enrage adds a whopping +60% damage to one monster.
Paladins are more defense / party oriented. They have one of the better party skills in the game (+2 to all 4th job skills), and most of their new skills require shields, restricting them to lower-hitting one-handed weapons. A good one-handed weapon + attack shield can surpass a good two-handed weapon, but that attack shield will cost far more money than most people can get in this game. On top of this, they rely on elemental attacks for damage, and not all bosses have elemental weaknesses.
